I got a sneak peak at three new skincare products for Fall 2018 from one of my favorite natural, organic, cruelty-free, and affordable brands, MyChelle. Rather than overwhelm you with all three at once, I’ll tantalize you with the one that I’ve almost used up!

MyChelle Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate.

When I first open the small jar (I received the “half size” 0.45 fl. oz. priced at $22.50), I was delighted to see that Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate is a solid serum or memory gel like one of my other faves reviewed a while back, Shiseido Multisolution Gel, that I use dry up the rare blemish. Memory gel goes back to being totally smooth after you scoop some up. While the memory gel probably isn’t the most important part of Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate, it’s a part of it that delights me!

I have a number of hyaluronic acid skincare products in my arsenal for addressing my dry skin, and I like them. But Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate is a welcome addition. It’s a concentrated botanically-derived 2% Hyaluronic Acid that binds moisture to dry or dehydrated skin and strengthens the skin’s moisture barrier. In addition, it nourishes and refreshes skin with a potent dose of bioactives alpine nunatak plant stem cells and crocus chrysanthus bulb extract. Botanical extracts and essential oils help restore healthy skin tone.

The hydrating gel is especially welcome for summer. Because Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate comes in a jar, I use one of the scoops that I keep on hand to use with jars to scoop out a small amount of the aqua gel. Then I spread a thin layer over my face. A little goes a long way. It melts into my skin and dries super fast. And then I apply my other serums, moisturizer and makeup on top with no issues. I use it twice a day.

MyChelle Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate can be used by all skin types though it’s especially good for dry skin, mature skin, and dehydrated skin. But it is possible to have oily skin that’s dehydrated, so if you have oily or combination skin but you experience dehydration from cold or dry environmental conditions, Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate is for you, too.

The full 1.2 fl. oz. size of MyChelle Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate contains 1.2 fl. oz. is priced at $45. I believe that the new product officially launches next Monday, July 23, on MyChelle.com, but the 1.2 fl. oz. jar is listed on MyChelle.com now. Plus you can purchase it at Dermstore.com, Lovelyskin.com, iHerb.com, Vitacost.com, and pharmaca.com. I’m not sure if the smaller size that I received will be on the market after the launch date or not. But I can tell you, I need the full size next time.

Sounds very nice indeed! My face sometimes waffles on whether or not it wants to be dry lately, but it’s definitely dehydration-prone. Hyaluronic is my friend, and I too am typically delighted by this type of texture. It’s just so fun to use. I have a problem with losing tiny scoop things though- they’re so small that they fall to the bottom of wherever I try to prop them! I really wish all products like this came with a scoop that easily attaches to the jar or lid! Now that I mention this I seem to recall an odd thin plastic spatula (it looks like a flattened spoon/knife combo masquerading as a deformed letter opener, lol) somewhere in the kitchen…it came with some gadget or something, and I thought “this is USELESS” and probably tossed it in a drawer…. THAT would probably work for me. And it would be tall enough to sit in my brush cup so I don’t lose it!!! Now I just need to find it again. 😛

    1. I agree, Rach, it would be good if it came with its own scoop that fit into the cap. I save all the scoops I get from luxury skincare brands. I have a little ceramic dish that I like where I keep my scoops and my little blending sponges for eyes. That way they’re right there when I need them although it takes up space on my countertop. I noticed that AC Moore carries small wood and plastic paddles that work as cosmetic scoops too.

  2. This sounds really lovely, and perfect for my skin and the warm weather! I need to find a sample!

    1. Hmm, I wonder if MyChelle does samples? I’ve been looking online to see if I can find that smaller size that I received to try out, but so far only the full size. They should sample this product because it is so cooooool!

  3. That serum looks amazing!

  7. When my skin was oily I was “diagnosed” with it being dehydrated. It seemed strange at the time but I started using hydrating products and they worked. This sounds excellent and we know MyChelle is a wonderful brand.

    1. I read about that unusual condition a while back and always wondered about it: oily, dehydrated skin. But glad to know that it’s real and that hydration can help. This new solid serum from MyChelle is soooooo cool!

  8. This sounds so good! MyChelle is an excellent cruelty free brand, too.

  12. My skin has been all sorts of crazy lately because I was put on this weird medication that messes with my hormones. One week it’s dry, next week it’s oily. I bet my face would love a gel formula like this one.

    1. Oh, no! I’m such a fan of memory gel, that it was love at first use for me, but the serum itself with HA and other bioactives does the trick. You might like it too

  13. Gel formulas are my personal Summer saviors! I would love to try this one!

    1. MyChelle BioFirm Hydrogel Concentrate really is worth it. Such good stuff especially for summer

  15. I’ve never tried a gel for my face but I bet I’d like it.

  16. This is really interesting and initially I thought it’s a moisturizer or a mask. So you use it before serum and moisturizer? It’s function reminds me of Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate but this is much cheaper!

    1. Yes, it’s a solid serum. I use it either right after cleansing or after another essence. The memory gel form is exactly the same as Shiseido Multi Solution Gel, but it’s a HA and bioactive serum. Good stuff

  17. Ehmkay Nails says:

I feel like this would be awesome in winter when my skin gets super dry!

  18. This sounds so nice. While my skin isn’t super crazy about hyaluronic acid lately, the texture of this product looks so fabulous!
