Earrings are my downfall. I have two pairs of earrings that I wear everyday:
- pearl studs that I bought years ago at a fab jewelry store in Soho
- sterling silver hoops from Silpada that Jeff just bought me for my birthday to replace the hoop I lost a few months ago.
But I love to have new ones that I can swap into my non-everyday rotation. When Chan Luu has a sale, I always take a look.
Moonstone & Pearl Ostra Earrings
The Moonstone & Pearl Ostra Earrings caught my eye because the moonstones were the color of my blue-grey eyes. Plus, the pearl at the bottom made the earrings seem a little more “dressy”. Ostra pearls are a type of “blister” pearl.
The earrings are an inch and a half long.
I have been on a sterling silver binge for the past few years, and that’s what these are. Best of all, they are so lightweight, I forget I’m wearing them. After wearing pierced earrings for decades, I know have to make sure I’m not wearing heavy earrings that will stretch out my piercings.
Like the other Chan Luu earrings, the Moonstone & Pearl Ostra Earrings are handmade in Vietnam. They arrived in a box covered with handmade fabric, also from Vietnam.
Moonstone & Pearl Ostra Earrings are regularly priced at $115, but Chan Luu has frequent sales. I’m very happy with these new earrings!
So pretty, love these!
Thank you, Kim! When are we going to lunch for your birthday? Did you and L. talk about it?
Lovely earrings and so versatile. I love your taste in jewelry.
Thank you, Marcia! They’re so lightweight, a pleasure to wear
