This week absolutely flew by. I hope you had a good short week and an enjoyable Labor Day weekend if you were in the U.S. But I also want to say that those of you who were hit by hurricane Harvey in Texas or Louisiana or if hurricane Irma is heading your way, you are definitely in my thoughts. I feel a little guilty. I had a fantastic holiday weekend topped off by Jeff taking me to the Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Tuesday night. We had the best seats I’ve ever had by far. We were sitting 3 rows up over the Red Sox dugout so we could see the team members up close and personal after every inning when they came back to the dugout. I know if you’re not from New England it doesn’t mean as much, but that’s Vasquez, the catcher, and Eduardo Rodriguez, the pitcher.
The game lasted 19 innings, one of the longest games of the year and almost longest in their history! We stayed until the 15th, leaving at 11:45pm. In Boston, the subway shuts down after midnight, and I was afraid we’d miss the last subway. But we got home in time to see Boston win in the 19th inning around 1:15am. I had a wonderful and truly memorable time!
Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale
So far, I bought another Tarte The Lip Sculptor in a red shade, Harlequin, for $10, half off. I just love this double-ended comfortable cream lipstick and lipgloss combo. I’ll post a swatch another time.
Today (9/9), I plan to pick up Benefit Roller Lash Mascara in Brown that I didn’t know existed. I asked at my local Ulta if they carried the mascara in Brown, and they said no, I would have to buy it online. I got rather ticked off, and I mentioned it to one of the senior sales associates or maybe she was a manager. She gave me a card for free shipping. I didn’t know you could ask for that!
Yesterday, someone told me that there is free shipping for Platinum members during the sale event. Last night I went on ulta.com to see if free shipping was listed among the Platinum benefits (I didn’t see it there but a customer service agent on the phone told me she thought that there was free shipping for Platinum now). While on the website Platinum page, I noticed that there was a place to “activate” 3x-5x extra points from 9/7-9/10/17. I did that too.
