City Beauty Eye Revive Firming Serum

You probably know that I am a zealot when it comes to firming eye products. I am always trying to firm the skin above my crease or keep it firm. And I must admit, I have had pretty good results with years of using eye creams and gels on my brow bones. That said, I am always eager to try out a new firming eye product.

Several weeks ago, I received City Beauty Eye Revive Firming Serum to try out. Eye Revive Firming Serum is a clear super lightweight gel that feels almost liquidy on my skin. It’s a serum after all!

It comes in a tube with a slant tip ceramic applicator that you can use to massage a small amount on and around the eye area. I prefer to pat it on the skin in and above my crease, on the brow bone, on my crow’s feet, and on the fine lines below my eye socket with my finger because I can better control the amount of serum that I want to use. It takes about 30 seconds to dry. If my eye area is especially dry from blepharitis (the eye problem I have), or from dry winter air outdoors and in my house, I sometimes apply another eye gel or cream on my dry lid and crease.

Honestly, I am having excellent results with City Beauty Eye Revive Firming Serum. It’s like a booster. It does exactly what I want it to do: it firms my skin.

This is what City Beauty says about Eye Revive Firming Serum:

Eye Revive Firming Serum visibly hydrates, firms, & tightens the skin around the delicate eye area — effectively reducing the look of fine lines & wrinkles — while advanced polymers create a taut finish within minutes. The result is smoother, younger-looking skin around the eyes.

Eye Revive Firming Serum was designed for all skin types to address fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin and dryness. I agree. It works for me!

City Beauty Eye Revive is jam-packed with hydrating ingredients including natural oils and extracts. It is cruelty-free and formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, or sulfates.

City Beauty Eye Revive Firming Serum’s slim plastic tube contains 0.5 fl. oz. and is priced at $72. Check it out on the City Beauty website. 1. I’m sorry to hear that, Marcia. I’ve fallen off the radar of so many brands, but on occasion they come back!

  3. This sounds like something I need – the eye area is definitely starting to show my age the most (and the lip area).

    1. A good eye product certainly is a must!

  4. Is the firming temporary? I need firming for my undereye bags.

    1. Cindy, I am not sure what to say. I have been on a 25 year quest to keep my skin above the crease from drooping, and I use eye products every single day twice a day. I like the City Beauty Eye Revive Serum and I also like PCA Skin Revitalizing Eye Gel for firming. I do not have eye bags so I can’t say about using it there. I know people always talk about caffeine for undereye bags, and I don’t believe that either one of the eye products I’m using have caffeine in the ingredient list.

  5. That is such a nice applicator! I used to have another eye cream with a ceramic tip like that and it felt heavenly on the lids.

    1. I was amazed, Anastasia, to see how smoothing the ceramic tip is – the perfect thing for crepey lids!

  6. This eye serum sounds great. Wonderful review!

  7. I’m glad to see your review. I, too, have blepharitis and I’m so careful not to wear any eye products. I especially miss mascara! And it’s worse because we’re “all eyes” wearing masks all day. Do you have any helpful beauty hints for people with our condition?

    1. Liz, my blepharitis is manifested primarily by red eyelids and dry lids that only occasionally are scaly. I use nightly warm compresses to help my meibomitis. I also have dry eye for which I use Restasis drops. That said, I am able to wear eye makeup without many problems. I use eye serums and creams all around my eyes, and there have been very few that have given me problems. I need to use a cream or eye gel in my crease and on my lids to make them more comfortable and less dry. I am also devoted to using an eye gel on the skin above my crease for firming. Although my eyes themselves can be sensitive to lash serums (I have found two brands that I can use with no issues), I don’t have any problems wearing eye makeup. In fact, I feel and look better wearing concealer or a neutral cream eyeshadow to cover my red eyelids. I can also wear mascara. To be completely honest, you have to determine for yourself what you can use that doesn’t irritate the skin around your eyes as well as your eyes themselves. What works for me may not work for you, unfortunately, so I hesitate to recommend specific products. Even products that are “ophthalmologist tested” may be OK for some people but not for others. Nevertheless, I have found cream concealer and cream eyeshadows to be more soothing to my dry eye area, so I tend to use them more often than powders. I stay away from liquid eye shadows because they are very drying. When it comes to mascara, I tend to go for lengthening mascaras rather than volumizing mascaras because I find them less likely to flake and possibly get something in my sensitive eyes. Your question was a good one, I hope that my rather vague reply will still be somewhat helpful!

  8. I am 62 yo and have wrinkles and droopy eyelids. Both the eye lid lift and the eye revive seem to suit my needs. So which one do I choose? I ordered the eyelift but then discovered the eye revive…confused. can you email your response?

    1. Liz, I use the Lid Lifting Treatment to keep the skin above my crease firm. It is thick, like spackle. It works for me. I think it is a unique product, whereas I think there are more affordable alternatives to Eye Revive. Hope this helps!
