Clinique Summer 2013 Gift with Purchase at Lord & Taylor

Clinique was the first “prestige” brand that I bought when I was a college student back in the day. It was so modern and so made for young women who were looking for a whole new take on makeup and skincare. Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion was dramatically different back then. And I’m so excited to hear that it’s getting a makeover. It’s about time!

The brand certainly has been changing its product line-up and shades over the years to stay contemporary. In fact, I think their product line has something for everyone. So if you haven’t used Clinique in a while, here’s an opportunity at Lord & Taylor that will give you a chance to try a number of products all at once.

With a $30 purchase, Clinique at Lord & Taylor is offering an 8 piece summer gift in a really cute and colorful makeup bag that features what I think of as the “Clinique colors”: bright yellow, green, orange, and pink. I know it’s covered with flowers but I think of Clinique colors as sunny and “citrusy”.

Clinique_GWPjune2013_LearnMore I think it’s a great gift with a wonderful assortment of products:

  • skincare: cleanser, moisturizer with SPF, eye cream
  • makeup: a cute chubby stick for lips and waterproof mascara. I think they’re both great for the beach: a chubby stick that’s less likely to melt and waterproof lashes. All set!
  • nail: I love that there’s nail polish (there’s almost never nail polish in these GWPs), in your choice of two summer shades — Pinkini and Ready Rio, and there’s an adorable and super-handy matchbox nail file (how often have I needed a nail file while on the go).

I’m a little late to the party on this one. The last day is July 7, so hurry if you’re interested. Lord & Taylor offers free shipping for purchases of $49 or more.

Happy Independence Day to my readers in the U.S.!

  1. Oh, how I remember the first time I “splurged” on department store products. How I loved the pink and green packaging and the smells. It felt all too girly but grown up too! Clinique was so ahead of its time, salicylic acid was in its toners!

Exactly right, Cheryl. It was a “splurge”, and I remember saving up to buy Clinique. I didn’t know that salicylic acid was in the toners! Def. ahead of its time. I seldom had blemishes so I used the “mild” on occasion. It seemed so sophisticated compared to Bonne Bell.
