ColourPop Creamy Blushes: Blush Stix and Super Shock

I noticed that ColourPop introduced a new stick blush not too long ago. Because I love all things “cream”, I knew I would have to try it. I really like sticks too – be they concealer, eyeshadow, foundation, whatever – because they are so quick and easy to use. During the 30% off pre-July 4th sale, I decided to make my move.

ColourPop Blush Stix

ColourPop introduced 18 shades of their newish Blush Stix. The Stix come in orange plastic tubes in orange boxes. I love their look. They look so cheerful and summer-y!

The 18 shades are mostly various shades of pinks, peaches  and mauves, though there are also a butterscotch and a caramel.

Because the sun has faded my hair to orange, I decided to choose a bright salmon shade called Under Pressure that I thought would suit my summertime look.

It can range from bright to more subtle depending on how much I blend it in. In the photo above, I blended it in quite a bit. I love the shade, and I’m glad I bought the Blush Stix.

The Blush Stix glides on effortlessly, is easy to blend with fingers and feels hydrating but lightweight. The weather has been hot and humid since I received my Blush Stix, and I would say that the shade lasts for a few hours before disappearing. I think it would last longer in cooler weather. Nevertheless, it isn’t difficult to reapply when I feel like doing so.

Blush Stix weighs 8g/0,28 oz. and is about an inch and a half or so long and 5/8″ wide. I think it will last me a long time. The regular price is $8.

Super Shock Blush

I’m a fan of ColourPop’s Super Shock bouncy, sort of creamy formula. I know not everyone is, but as I said earlier, I love creams. I have only had one or two Super Shock Eyeshadows that dried out, and they were ones that I never used.

I already owned Super Shock Blush in a dusty mauve shade, Between the Sheets, that I love (reviewed here). It’s a perfect everyday shade because it’s the right amount of color for me. I hit pan on it about a year ago, but there’s still a ton of it left. And it hasn’t dried out at all.

Because of the sale, I decided to pick up another shade. This time, I went for a matte warm rose shade, Cruel Intentions. It is deeper than the more subtle ColourPop Best Seller Between the Sheets, and it’s soooooo pretty! I made a good choice.

Super Shock Blush contains 4.2 g/0.15 oz., and priced at $8.

If you’re a fan of creamy-ish blush, check out both of these formats. They’re so easy to apply and fun to use.

I am going to check out the blush shades. I have one from Milk that I like but going to see how these compare. Not a big fan of the super shock eye shadows but will check the SS Blush out.

    1. Sandy, if you don’t like the Super Shock eyeshadows, don’t bother with the Super Shock blushes because they are exactly the same. Do check out the Blush Stix. I think they have some very pretty shades, and they’re well worth the price.
