I picked up the ColourPop Metamorphosis eye shadow collection and the Frida Lippie Stix, a mid-tone nude pink with a satin finish, during their pre-Christmas sale event. I had wanted to pick up the limited edition Metamorphosis collection for some time. I’m glad I did because it appears to be gone now. Frida is part of the permanent lineup. If you haven’t tried ColourPop, you must. Just about everything is $5 a piece, the quality is generally terrific, and it’s cruelty-free.
In spite of needing to wash my hair, I felt like doing a face of the day on this gloomy, dark Sunday to boost my spirits.
I used my finger to apply the ColourPop shadows because with their unique consistency, it works out better that way. Since I wasn’t not going anywhere, I wasn’t looking for a lot of bling, just something to brighten my face. This photo was taken at sunset on a dark day when the natural light wasn’t the best, and the conditions resulted in a grainy photo. Sorry.
But then I decided to do it again today, a sunny day and clean hair! And I applied more of the ColourPop shadows but this time over a base of Pur Minerals Eye Polish in Satin, a light rose gold shade.

Have you tried ColourPop yet? What are your ColourPop faves?
Sooo…I haven’t tried colourpop yet, but my contribtor Alysia told me she placed an order recently and LOVES the brand! I’ll have to search them out for sure!

I know you’ll have fun with ColourPop, Elaine!
I haven’t tried colourpop but this lipstick looks lovely so I will look for it!

ColourPop is definitely worth trying – great shades, cruelty-free, affordable, fun!
Oh my gosh, that Colourpop set is gorgeous! I only have 2 or 3 of their shadows, but those 4 go together so perfectly. Pretty look! I agree, getting ready for the day despite the gloom outside makes me feel more human. LOL! Stacie xo
Stacie recently posted…The Sephora Play Box
I wanted this collection, Stacie, because of Kindness, the red/aqua duochrome, but I love the other shades now too. Definitely good to put on makeup on a dreary day
This is one of my favorite quads by ColourPop. I have a BUNCH that I have yet to wear (and review) but this one is a great one! Looks lovely on you, as well! <3

I have another collection from the summer – something about Malibu in the title – that I haven’t used yet. I love what I’ve tried so far!
Believe it or not, I still haven’t taken the ColourPop plunge, but your swatches really make me want to pick these up!

I think I was later to the ColourPop party too, Helen, but in spite of the fact that I have lots of eye palettes, I really love these. They’re similar to the Almay Softees, and I like those but they are limited in terms of shades and finish. Plus ColourPop is very good quality, cruelty-free & definitely affordable. ColourPop is fun because they have a lot of LEs and are changing things up all the time, kind of like the Forever 21 model.
I definitely need to get on board! Interesting to opt for a model similar to Forever 21, and certainly an affordable model fr the consumer!
Lola’s Secret Beauty Blog recently posted…Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Champagne | Review
That’s my perspective, Helen, but there seems to be similarities between the two: fairly rapidly changing product lines/limited editions, affordable, giving the consumer reasons to return often 😉
Such pretty colors! I love ColourPop. I think they’re sparkly and metallic eyeshadows are incredible. It’s hard to pick favorites. So Quiche, Bae, Stereo, Central Perk, Girl Power, Lace, Slave 2 Pink…I could go on. I like he Lippie Stix, too. I love the Ultra Matte in Dr. M. They’re highlighters are stunning.
Oh, you are an experienced ColourPop user, Rachel! I’ll have to look at the shades you mentioned. I didn’t realize they had highlighters!
I love their lippie stix and blushes! I only have two of their shadows so far, but I do want to get more. This set looks really pretty!

Now I need to try the blushes and also the gel liners, though I’ve heard mixed things about the liners
Those shadows are stunning Allison. I’m so glad that you found a ColourPop lippie that were not matte because I remember you telling me that your lips love moisture. That lippie looks amazing on you too.

Thank you so much, Brigette! Yes, I was happy that ColourPop still has a few satin finish lippies in their lineup! I love Frida, such a great everyday shade 🙂
I havent tried Colour Pop either. It is really hard for me with shadows (and my favorites) because I have so many but maybe one of these days, I will. I love how it looks on you!

Thank you, Norah! You must have such a big kit, I can’t see these fitting in, but they are fun to play with for personal use especially for the $5 price
Looks like I need to pick up Kindness and Frieda-they look fabulous on your skin.

Unfortunately, Kindness and the 4 shade collection was a limited edition! It reminds me a lot of one of the extra shades in the butterLondon Shadow Clutch. Frida, however, is permanent and definitely worth the $5!
I love this quad!

Too bad it was a limited edition. Hope they come out with something similar to Kindness for those who missed it
So far I’ve only tried Lippie Stix. If only they shop fast, I’d be interested to try more

All of the Colourpop lippies are my favorites, I’m addicted. I wish they’d figure out a way to come out with a palette because I don’t have room in my collection for individuals though swatches of them are always so tempting!

The ColourPop lips are more dry than I prefer but I still like some of the colors. I’d wear the e/s more often except that it’s hard for me to apply with my fingers (nails!!). I’ve yet to find a brush I love with these.
The set looks like it’s perfect for you.

I really wish that Colour Pop would hurry up and come to the UK. The pigmentation of their products looks absolutely INCREDIBLE!! xxx
I’m wondering if ColourPop has plans to sell internationally? It’s been such a success since it came out earlier this year. Great quality and great prices, win-win for the consumer! I hope it comes to the UK soon!
These shades are so great! I’d wanted to get the Metamorphosis set, but shipping and the exchange rate made it a slightly ridiculous price. The joys of being in Canada 😀

I have heard so many good things about ColourPop but I have never tried it myself 🙂
I live in Finland so it is a bit “harder” to get ColourPop over here… I will try and get some though cause I am really intrigued by the brand 🙂
I really love the look of these shadows and I love the color of Frida 🙂
I must say.. I LOVE the color of your hair 🙂
xx
Thank you so much! I’ve been a redhead for ages but I told my colorist to go brighter for the holidays plus I needed a boost with all the darkness of winter 🙂 In Finland, you must know all about winter darkness! I don’t know if ColourPop has begun shipping internationally yet. But it definitely has been one of the highlights here this year. Great Quality and very affordable. I love all the new shades that they’re always introducing. Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment! Happy New Year!
I actually have a TON of Colourpop (including what you posted here!) and find that some items are amazing and others are just ok. The price is decent though so no complaints

I just watched you on MeVee and loved it so I came here to check out your blog! I have a long list of Colour Pop products to purchase, especially the lipsticks and gel liners but I’ve been on a ‘no spending’ ban since the past few months until I make a reasonable dent in my makeup collection. Frida is such a stunning shade on you, I’ll be adding that into my list to purchase too!
Thank you so much, Shireen, especially since my MeVee video was on its side! I didn’t realize the platform couldn’t handle Landscape video yet. I’ll know for next time, lol! I love the ColourPop products that I’ve tried so far. Frida is the perfect shade for me, but truth be told, on my already dry lips it is a bit drying after a while in spite of the fact that it’s a satin finish rather than matte. Nevertheless, I put on lip balm and go for it anyway! Thanks again for stopping by and for commenting!
I like the colors that you used esp the names so inspiring for women! Happy New Year!

Yes, they are, Ursula. What a good observation! Happy New Year to you too!
This looks to be another great ColourPop set. The consistency of the shadows are quite unique but it sure does help them to last a long time. I usually apply them with a short dense shader type brush but haven’t found an effective way to blend them. What do you use to blend them out?
I think it is, Natalie, though it’s an LE. I apply ColourPop with my fingers and blend with a blending brush – nothing special
