Connoisseurs Jewelry Cleaner: Sonic Dazzle Stick & Dazzle Drops

I can’t believe I waited till today to post this review of a fantastic product, but things got out of hand this holiday season. It’s the night before New Year’s Eve, and I’m in a panic about getting my jewelry ready! I’ll figure out my outfit and my makeup, but my jewelry needs some TLC.

At the end of October, I received an unexpected, beautiful gift package from Connoisseurs, a company that I discovered is located about 30 miles at most from my home.

Connoisseurs is THE brand when it comes to jewelry cleaning systems. They were so generous to send me their new Advanced Cleaning System:

Tonight, I went to town on my jewelry that hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while.

The Dazzle Drops Advanced Jewelry Cleaner and the Silver Jewelry Cleaner both come with a plastic container with a removable jewelry basket, a brush, and a squeeze bottle of concentrated cleaning drops.

The Sonic Dazzle Stick looks like an electric toothbrush, and it works the same way.

I applied a couple of drops of Dazzle Drops Advanced Jewelry Cleaner to each piece of my gold jewelry with precious stones and then I used the Sonic Dazzle Stick to clean each one. The results were fast and exactly that: dazzling! OMG, my diamond earrings, rings, and my special handmade silver and gold bracelet with precious and semi-precious stones looked like they were brand new.

To be completely honest, I have never seen them look that brilliant since I purchased them or had them cleaned professionally in the sonic steam machine at my cousin’s husband’s jewelry store a few years ago. The Sonic Dazzle Stick and Dazzle Drops Advanced Jewelry Cleaner performed in an exceptional manner! I strongly recommend them both.

While I was in jewelry cleaning mode, I pulled out some of my very tarnished silver jewelry. This time instead of using the Dazzle Stick on my 3 pairs of silver earrings, I thought I’d use the cup. I filled it 3/4 full of water, dropped in 10 Dazzle Drops Silver Jewelry Cleaner, and in a minute or two the water turned cloudy as the drops dispersed.

I put the earrings in the basket and swished them around for 30 seconds, per the directions. They were much cleaner but not perfectly cleaned.

Just for the heck of it, I used the Sonic Dazzle Stick to clean the silver snake bracelet for my charms and it came out clean as a whistle.  I then used the Dazzle Stick on one pair of my silver earrings after putting a couple of Dazzle Drops on the earrings themselves. Because of the shape of the earrings, it was a little difficult to do but they came out much cleaner but still not perfect.

Finally, I pulled out the old jar of jewelry cleaner that iI keep under the sink (that I bought ages ago and it too is Connoisseurs!). I tossed the tarnished silver earrings in the basket of the jar and they came out instantly sparkling clean in spite of the age of the jewelry cleaner!

The difference between my old jar of Connoisseurs Dazzling Brilliant Silver Jewelry Cleaner and the new Dazzle Drops Silver Jewelry Cleaner is that the old jewelry cleaner smells very strong (truth be told, it smells not so great) and you need to be careful using it. The new Dazzle Drops do not smell at all, you make the solution fresh each time you use it, and it’s a non-toxic formula.

My Final Thoughts: The Dazzle Drops Advanced Jewelry Cleaner and Sonic Dazzle Stick absolutely blew me away! I strongly recommend them both! My rings, bracelets and earrings with stones are beyond brilliant, as if they were professionally cleaned.

I need to try the Dazzle Drops Silver Jewelry Cleaner again. For my severely tarnished earrings, the Silver Drops in water wasn’t quite enough. Fortunately, my old Connoisseurs smelly but strong Dazzling Brilliant Silver Cleaner did the trick  😀

Get more info on the Connoisseurs website. Connoisseurs Sonic Dazzle Stick is priced around $34.99 and the Dazzle Drops about $8.99. The Dazzle Stick and Dazzle Drops are available at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Amazon among other retailers.

Have a happy and safe New Year’s Eve!

ADDENDUM: I just got some information from Connoisseurs about the Dazzle Drops Silver Jewelry Cleaner after they read my post. The Silver Jewelry Drops are not meant to be mix with water (so why did they provide a mixing cup?), but instead applied directly to the silver item and then brushed with the brush or Sonic Dazzle Stick. My silver is still clean now, but I’ll try it again once they become tarnished.

    1. Tiffany’s silver polish sounds so posh! Connoisseurs is a really great brand of jewelry cleaner, if you’re looking for an affordable alternative. My cousin’s husband, the jeweler, says it’s the brand he carries and uses in the shop. 🙂

  14. I so want to try this, and by the way, you own some fantastic pieces of jewelry!!!!

    1. Thank you, Kim! I do love me some jewelry 😉

  15. Oh wow. Great results

  16. I love that you mix it fresh! This sounds like something I need, it so much of a hassle to bring stuff to a jeweler.

    1. Or if you don’t want to soak the item but use the Sonic Dazzle Stick, you just put a couple of drops on the piece and Dazzle away the dirt or tarnish. The sparkle especially on my rings and bracelets with gem stones looks like a professional cleaning!
