When a bunch of the bloggers got mini-fridges for their skincare products a couple of years ago, I was jealous. But I rationalized it by thinking, I don’t really need one. I thought they would be too expensive and take up too much space in my already crowded bathroom or office.

The front is mirrored, and has dimmable LED lighting. If you keep it on your countertop, you can use it for makeup or mask application, tweezing brows or just checking out how you look!

COOSEON Cooling
Unlike a traditional household refrigerator, the COOSEON Beauty Fridge does not have a compressor or refrigerant. It works by thermoelectric cooling.
Because our electric bills are going up substantially this winter (grrrrr!), I was concerned that the mini-fridge could add to my bill. But I learned that it uses only 0.5 kWh/day compared to the average toaster that uses 1.7 kWh while in use.
Benefits of the COOSEON Beauty Fridge
So, why do I need a Beauty Fridge? Of course, I don’t NEED one, but it has so many benefits that it’s very useful!
First, I am finding myself using more and more skincare products that do not contain preservatives. Case in point, the LightWater Moisturizers that I wrote about a few weeks ago (here). They are made fresh without preservatives, and their expiration date was October 31. I didn’t start using them right away, so I was concerned that their efficacy would decrease precipitously after that date. Fortunately, I’ve been keeping them in my COOSEON Beauty Fridge, and I believe I am extending their shelf life for at least a few weeks. Plus, cooling prevents bacterial build-up. (Just don’t put your oils or high-oil content products in the fridge!)
Second, skincare products feel so delightful and refreshing when they’re cool! Have you tried it? And cooling my gua sha or rose quartz roller feels delightful.
Third, though I haven’t done it, I could store bottled water or soft drinks in my Beauty Fridge so I would have them upstairs and not need to go to the kitchen to get them.
Fourth, it’s so convenient to have a lighted mirror on my countertop at the ready!
My 6L COOSEON Beauty Fridge
I chose the 6 liter Beauty Fridge because I have such limited space available. The exterior dimensions are 10.6″ high x 7″ wide x 9.8″ deep. Having lived with this mini-fridge for about a month, I know I made the right choice for me. It’s the perfect size. It fits on my countertop in the bathroom or on the floor in my office and doesn’t take up too much space. Plus it has a built-in handle so I can easily move it from office to bathroom to bedroom. It’s surprisingly lightweight, even filled!
Yet, the interior is certainly spacious. The interior dimensions of the 6L are 9.4″ high x 5.7″ wide x 5.9″ deep. I keep the two pouches filled with LightWater Moisturizers on the bottom shelf, for now (they’ll be used up soon) as well as a big tube of Defenage 2 Minute Exfoliator. And I was amazed at how many skincare products I could fit on the upper shelf! Right now, I have 4 jars and two tubes of eye cream. I could probably fit in 2 more jars and a couple of more tubes. Or put in a few bottles of nail polish.
On the door, there is an area to store masks. There’s nothing like applying a cooling mask!
And there’s nothing like a warm mask! With the flip of the switch in back, the unit instantly begins to warm up. It takes a short amount of time to warm a mask which is great for the colder weather.
I chose the Forest Green shade to coordinate with my aqua office, and it looks especially nice there. And the mirror that lights up is very handy in my office and even in the bathroom.
Green is my favorite color, so it looks fine in either the blue or caramel-colored bathroom too.
If you’re concerned about noise, especially if you keep your mini-fridge in your bedroom, it is much quieter than I expected. In fact, it’s quiet. There’s a gentle hum, but that’s it.

I feel the same way. Ive wanted one for ages when I saw everyone getting them. I could see this being handy in my office. There is no room in my bathroom for it but it would be a really nice addition with the mirror that lights up too!
I am so happy to have it. I mostly keep it in my office, but it’s still convenient. Plus, it weighs almost nothing, so I often move it around!
I love that this can be used hot or cold. I have two actually (one from a beauty subscription and one on deep sale) but they are only cold. And they don’t have that nifty mirror. You are going to love having this and the color is great for you.
