Crown HD Brush Set

My first set of full-size makeup brushes! My previous assortment consisted of random makeup brushes I acquired from here, there and everywhere: a couple of good, natural brushes that came with Bare Minerals foundation, a natural eye shadow brush I bought somewhere, a Sonia Kashuk bent-neck eyeliner brush, an angled eyeliner brush that came from who knows, and a couple of inexpensive travel sets from Marshalls and Fred Meyer. They’ve done the trick, but I was sooo happy to have the opportunity from Crown and iFabbo to try a set of full-size brushes from #CrownBrush.

Crown is a world-wide makeup brush brand with 25 years of experience. They have the largest selection of open stock professional quality brushes available. I downloaded their catalogue and it is definitely extensive. Also, Crown manufactures only cruelty-free brushes, emphasizing either synthetics or not harming animals in the process.

My Crown HD (high definition) makeup brushes came in a cute lavender case embossed with the Crown logo, and they’re available in orange and white with blue accents, too. This cute case makes this set perfect for travel. It’s a slim case that will easily fit into a suitcase, tote bag, and even in most of today’s purses. So much better than the mini-brush sets I had been using!

Crowncase

The brushes are synthetic, very soft, and easy to clean. They are good quality. The kit comes with a pair of tweezers that I can definitely use. There’s mirror in the case, but unfortunately, it’s not a good quality mirror. Frankly, they should have skipped the mirror since it’s not really usable.

Crownset

The set includes the following 6 brushes:

  • Pro Powder: for loose powder and blush
  • Tapered Brush: for foundation
  • Deluxe Contour: for highlighter or contour
  • Chisel Shadow: for applying eye shadow on the lid or under brow bone
  • Crease Blender: for blending eye shadow shades
  • Detail Liner: I think I will use it primarily as a lip brush but it could be used to apply shadow to the inner corner or just a touch of shadow along the lower lashline for a more subtle smokey eye

The Crown HD Brush Set with mirror and tweezers originally cost $69.99, but now are on sale for $16.77. So, they will make a great and affordable holiday gift!  In addition, I believe you can get 20% off your purchase on http://www.crownbrush.us/ with promo code iFabboHD. Expiration date for the coupon is 12/31/2013.

These brushes have gone right into the rotation for me, and I’m so happy to have them 🙂

These brushes are an incredible deal at the current sale price. Certainly a great gift or a good thing for yourself if you don’t have a brush set. Thanks for your comment, Natosha <3

I agree, Monica. They are very pretty! And they are a great value at the current price.

  3. Oh these look lovely but for some reason I just can’t get on board with white bristles! I dunno, for some reason they remind me more of an artist’s paint brushes than a makeup artist’s. 🙂

I would’ve felt the same way, but I’ve been using a foundation brush that came with one of my many foundations and it has white bristles, so I kinda got used to it. I agree that the white and lavender looks a little unusual. But, I actually like the fact that they’re synthetic: easy to clean, no animals were hurt or annoyed for my beauty lol 😉
