Damask Rose-Scented Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Facial Cleanser

I Bought This, PR Sample, Affiliate Links

I had been using creamy, gentle, fragrance-free Derma E Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Cleanser since mid-summer, and I finished it up a few weeks ago.

It was one of my Skincare Faves of 2020, but after so many months of loyalty to one facial cleanser, I decided to play the field for a while.

I have been alternating among three fragranced facial cleansers. I was intending to review all three in this post, but after reviewing Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser, I decided the post was long enough. I will get to the other two cleansers soon.

Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser

The Korean beauty brand Mamonde, that I thought was French, emphasizes a variety of flower ingredients in their skincare products. Petal Spa Oil to Foam is a rose-based cleanser, and it has a natural-smelling rose scent that you can’t miss when it’s first applied. I love it!

The clear gel that I apply to dry skin turns lotiony when water is added. It makes a wonderful, faintly rose-scented lather from Damask rose oil that also provides nourishing and skin-calming effects.

The Petal Spa Oil breaks down makeup and impurities, and it provides the first step – makeup remover – in the Korean Double Cleansing method. So Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser is a two-in-one product. Because I haven’t been wearing any makeup when I’ve used this double cleanser, I can’t speak to its makeup removing prowess. But it’s coconut oil that is the makeup remover, and I know that does a good job. I have worn sunscreen, however, and it definitely removes it without an issue.

The foamy cleanser with natural soapberry extract washes off dirt and impurities easily. After rinsing with lukewarm water, my skin feels clean but hydrated.

Damask rose oil provides a gorgeous natural scent and skin-calming and nourishing effects. This gentle cleanser is suitable for all skin types. I believe that it is cruelty-free. Although Mamonde does sell in mainland China, the products it sells there are manufactured in China so that they do not have to be tested on animals.

I had wanted to try Mamonde’s rose skincare for a long time, and so far, this rose cleanser is both delightful and effective. And if you use it as a Double Cleanser, as it is meant to be, it will save you a step and an extra product!

I am currently using the 1.7 fl. oz./50 ml travel size, while the full size holds about 6 fl. oz./175 ml. It used to be sold at Ulta, but it doesn’t seem to be on the website right now. It’s also sold out on Soko Glam. Hmmm. You can buy Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser at iHerb.com for $17.85 (and if you are a new purchaser on iHerb, you can get an additional 25% off with HELLO25) and on Amazon where it’s priced at $21.14.

Laura, I’m so happy to hear from you and so happy that you like the Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser too! As I wrote, I had been dying to try Mamonde’s rose line of skincare for ages. I kept waiting for an Ulta sale especially since I haven’t been to the Ulta store in almost a year (sob!). I also really like the Mamonde rose toner. The rose gel moisturizer isn’t quite hydrating enough for me now, but I look forward to using it when the warm weather returns. Have you tried any of the other Mamonde products?

  2. I love both of these cleansers, but you know how much I love that Mamonde gem! I have a bottle in my shower and I use it all of the time!

    1. I love both the Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam and the Derma E De-stress Calming CBD Cleansers for different reasons. Till I used up the Derma E, I used it at night and the Mamonde in the morning – perfection!

  4. Sounds good. I have to be careful of products with coconut oil though as it clogs my pores.
