Though I may use chemical masks most of the time, once a week or every two weeks I love using DefenAge 2-Minute Reveal, an “adjustable resurfacing masque”. It leaves my skin feeling so clean and smooth, I can’t resist it.
What Is DefenAge 2-Minute Reveal?
DefenAge 2-Minute Reveal is a combination physical and chemical exfoliating mask. It uses physical, small sugar crystals along with natural chemical enzymes from papaya to remove dead skin cells and resurface skin. Extracts from pumpkin and pomegranate ferments contain antioxidants like vitamins A and E to protect freshly revealed skin from environmental aggressors.
How to Use It
Another thing I love about DefenAge 2-Minute Reveal is how quick it is. Here’s how to use it:
I cleanse my skin with a gentle cleanser. Next, I apply a thin layer of DefenAge 2-Minute Reveal, about the size of a quarter, to my face and jawline avoiding the area around my eyes, as I do with any mask.
What seems unusual about this masque is that it doesn’t contain any water or any liquids. It comes out of the tube on the dry side, and initially, you are supposed to apply it with dry fingertips in a circular motion. The first time I used DefenAge 2-Minute Reveal, I thought the dryish feeling of the white, grainy masque was odd, and I squeezed out too much looking for the liquid. No liquid – you’re not paying for water, lol. And as I said, you only need a thin layer.
Massage the masque using dry fingertips in circles, concentrating on forehead, nose, chin, or any problem pores for 20 seconds or less if your skin is sensitive. Wait for 2 minutes while the masque works its magic. It even warms a bit on my skin.
Next, wet your fingertips and massage the skin in circles all over the face for about 2 minutes. Wet fingertips again and continue massaging in circles till the sugar crystals melt and disappear. Rinse well and voila! Super-smooth, super-soft, absolutely clean skin.
