Winter is usually a tough time for my nails. They tend to grow very slowly during the cold weather, and they look and actually are brittle, more fragile and definitely thinner. Their winter condition has definitely gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. Ugh. So often, I will accidentally hit my hand on something, and one of my brittle nails or a piece of one will break off. So annoying.
This winter, I was sent DefenAge 360-Rejuvenation Nail Root Serum to try out, and I was eager to get started. But let me share with you a few things about the product itself.

- Tara Tree fruit exact, a (new-to-me) antioxidant, shown to protect the nails and their keratin structure from damaging free radicals that caused by environmental stress, UV light, and harsh chemicals
- Vitamin B Complex: Niacinamide, Panthenol and Biotin to repair the natural moisture of the nail and surrounding skin, revive oxygen supply, and activate nail keratin
- soothing and calming botanical ingredients to address inflammation.
DefenAge 360-Rejuvenation Nail Root Serum and Applicator
I absolutely love the product applicator. Once I use it up, I’m going to save it, though I’m not sure what exactly I will use it for, but I adore the brush!
The slim applicator contains the “juice” inside. Pump the button at the end a few times at the beginning and then just once afterwards to release a drop of serum. You will see the serum come out onto the fabulous soft, thick, just wide enough brush. The brush is genius: it perfectly covers my nails and the surrounding skin.
The applicator contains enough 360-Rejuvenation Nail Root lightweight liqui-gel serum for twice a day applications for two weeks, or once a day for a month. Apply to clean hands and nails and allow it to soak in for about 30 minutes. I usually opt for the once a day application at night before bed or during the day when I am typing for a while.
Immediately after applying, my nails look especially gorgeous with a shine or glow, till the serum dries completely!
The minor downside is that you should avoid wearing nail polish during the time you are using the product, so it can sink in. I stopped wearing polish so far for about 6 weeks, and I have survived, lol!
My Results
I am about 2/3 of the way through my second tube. The primary result from my using DefenAge 360-Rejuvenation Nail Root Serum is that my nails have grown so fast that I keep having to file them. Honestly, I can’t remember when I had such long nails at the end of the winter.
Probably about 8 years ago, I managed to close the car door on my right thumb nail. Since then, in the winter, my nail splits at the top of my finger. I decided to trim the nail to where it usually splits because the Nail Root Serum doesn’t work like glue, it works by repairing the nail matrix. Now, I am waiting for that one nail to regrow. I’ll let you know what eventually happens. So far, it seems to feel smooth, no longer like the nail is split at the top, like it did in the beginning.

Love how long your nails are after using this. When your second is used up what can you do for maintenance?
By then, the temperatures will be higher and I won’t have to use much. I will probably revert to Olive and June Nail Strengthener that works quite well but not in the same way as the DefenAge

I’ve never really given much attention to my nails, except to have them cut and cleaned when in ingrown is getting a little painful. It’s great knowing that there are supplement brands to help keep nails healthy.
This looks like a good product. We have been looking for something to help with both nails and cuticles. It is nice that this is so easy to apply.
