DefenAge 3D Eye Radiance Cream: Clinically-Tested Luxury Skincare

For more than two months, my favorite eye cream of the past few years, Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb, has been out of stock, out of stock on the Belif website, at Sephora and at Ulta. I don’t know if it has to do with the Coronavis in South Korea, but it seems to be the only Belif product that’s not available. I hope that doesn’t mean that it is being discontinued. I emailed Belif several weeks and asked about it, but they never responded. Boo!

Enter DefenAge 3D Eye Radiance Cream. It has stepped into the breach.

You may remember that I tried a trio of DefenAge skincare products that I got in a travel size set, the Clinical Power Trio: 2-Minute Reveal Masque24/7 Barrier Balance Cream, and 8-in-1 BioSerum (reviewed here).

The Balance Cream and BioSerum were my favorites. In fact, I liked them so much that I kept putting off testing other skincare products that were piling up. They were rather unique because you apply the Balance Cream first and the BioSerum on top. At any rate, I was delighted when DefenAge 3D Eye Radiance Cream was sent to me for trial.

DefenAge 3D Eye Radiance Cream comes in an eye-catching slim pump bottle. It has a built-in applicator that DefenAge calls “Cooling Tip Technology” that can be used for “fingerless application” as well as to gently massage the delicate eye area. Although I find I don’t use the applicator every time, it feels very relaxing and cooling when I can take the time to use it.

3D Eye Radiance Cream is a white gel-cream. In fact, it has a consistency that is similar to, but maybe a little bit thicker and richer than, Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb. It feels like the perfect consistency for lifting and firming, which is what it is designed to do. It can be used around the entire eye area:

  • to smooth crow’s feet
  • to fade dark circles
  • to smooth and firm skin under the brow and above the crease as well as under eyes.

I really love this eye cream from DefenAge because it has the characteristics that I look for to address my personal eye issues: firming the skin above my eyelids and softening the look of crow’s feet and fine lines below my eye sockets.

DefenAge 3D Radiance Eye Cream is ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested and safe for contact lens wearers. My sensitive eyes have no problems with it whatsoever.

Other important benefits are that it is fragrance-free, cruelty-free, and vegan. It also says it contains no “human-derived” ingredients. That sounds a little weird, like nothing derived from the human body??!! But I think that maybe it means no artificially derived ingredients, meaning it’s natural. IDK, what do you think?

DefenAge 3D Radiance Eye Cream and the other skincare products that I tried contain two proprietary peptide ingredients that they have named Alpha-Defensin 5 and Beta-Defensin 3. The products have been tested in 15 clinical trials, and the results reported in the peer-reviewed Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. Click here to go to the page that reports the key results and shows the before and after pix: they’re quite impressive.

The only issue with DefenAge 3D Radiance Eye Cream is that it is pricey. $127 for 0.5 fl. oz./15 ml. It would easily become my replacement for Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb, but right now, it’s out of my price range. 😥

DefenAge skincare products are sold on the DefenAge website.

I agree, quite pricey! Some skincare companies, esp Asian brands have human-derived (from placenta), I know it sounds gross. Good to know that this is vegan and cruelty-free

  14. I love eye creams that have applicators like this, especially if I keep it in a mini fridge. I’ll even purchase a slightly inferior eye cream for this style of applicator if I’m having issues with extreme puffiness.
