Derma E Crepey Skin Repair Treatment

When I bought a new tube of Derma E Stem Cell Eye Lifting Treatment a while ago, I decided to buy a couple of more items to qualify for free shipping. I picked up Derma E Crepey Skin Repair Treatment to compare it to the regular dry skin body butters I use and to City Beauty InvisiCrepe Body Balm (reviewed here).

Derma E Crepey Skin Repair Treatment is an ultra-rich and thick ivory-colored body butter. A little goes a long way especially since you have to rub it in really well to get rid of the white streaks. At first, I was applying waaaaaay too much and rubbing it in forever. When I scoop out less, it actually has much less streaking and is easier to use. I wish I had figured that out sooner.

It has no added fragrance, and it has only the slightest scent from all the natural botanical oils in the product. I can only smell the faintest scent if I stick my nose in the jar.

On the Derma E website, it says that this treatment is for body and neck. I hadn’t known that because it doesn’t say anything about use on the neck on the heavy plastic (it almost feels like glass) tube. I may give it a try on my neck though I have several neck specific products to use up. But if you’re looking for a multitasker, this could be an interesting benefit.

Derma E Crepey Skin Repair Treatment contains the following key ingredients:

  • anti-crepe complex composed of plum, apple and cranberry extracts, vitamins A & E, AHA, and caffeine to reduce the look of crepey skin for a more youthful look
  • copper peptides: to promote thickness and firmness
  • resveratrol: a powerful antioxidant to guard against damage that could slow collagen production
  • caffeine: to firm and tone skin
  • vitamins A & E: antioxidants that prevent environmental stressors from damaging skin and to help hydrate and tone

I am most interested in whether the copper peptides over time will thickness and firm my skin. Papery, wrinkled skin is the worst. So far, I think this helps my skin feel thicker and stronger when I’m wearing it. I have come to the realization that no body lotions, butters or treatments permanently reverse crepiness if you stop using it. None of them are a “cure”. They have to be used consistently.

That said, for me Derma E Crepey Skin Repair Treatment is a better value by far than City Beauty InvisiCrepe Body Balm, and I also think Derma E works better for my dry skin. I think the thickness of Derma E Crepey Skin Repair is key to how my skin looks and feels while I am using it. I still love Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair for Sensitive Skin with ceramides (reviewed here), but maybe Derma E has the slight edge on effectiveness on crepey skin though Aveeno is great for hydration.

On the Derma E website, Crepey Skin Repair Treatment is priced at $19.95 for 6 oz. Other online retailers are selling it for less money, however, Derma E almost always has a sale going on.

As always, Derma E is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, GMO-free, soy-free, and recyclable.

    1. No, I haven’t. Just on my upper arms. It definitely makes skin feel thicker and less fragile and look less crepey while wearing it.
