Derma E Essentials Collection! Radiance Toner and Rejuvenating Sage & Lavender Face Oil

Derma E is one of my favorite cruelty-free, natural and affordable skincare brands. But when I think of the brand, I tend to associate it with a lot of products for young, acne-prone or oily skin, even though I know they make a broad range of skincare products for all skin types. Well, for my super dry, older skin, they have now hit it out of the park.

Derma E Radiance Toner

Radiance Toner with Glycolic Acid and Rooibos is a mild toner that I use morning and evening after cleansing. I finally got on board the toner habit once I learned that toner actually helps serum and moisturizer absorb better. Plus, toner can be a way to deliver beneficial ingredients to my skin. Via the glycolic acid, Radiance Toner is an exfoliating toner that removes dead skin cells. It also contains botanicals Rooibos and rosehip, Rosehip contains vitamin C for brightness. Rooibos was new to me as a skincare ingredient. I associated it with tisane, an herb tea. Rooibos is rich in antioxidants, and it also has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. Both Rooibos and rosehip help energize and revive skin for a fresh, healthy look.

So what’s it like to use Radiance Toner with Glycolic Acid and Rooibos? Although glycolic acid is the second ingredient in the ingredient list after water, Radiance Toner is completely gentle. In fact, if I didn’t know there was GA in the formula, I wouldn’t have thought it did based on how gentle it feels on my skin. Oh, did I mention that the third ingredient is sodium hyaluronate? The sodium hyaluronate and the aloe vera in the toner are other major plusses to hydrate my dry skin.

The pale gold toner has no discernible scent, and it leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. Radiance Toner is vegan and gluten-free. The 6 fl. oz./175 ml plastic container is priced at $14.95. It also comes in  1 fl. oz. travel size for $5 that would make a great stocking stuffer.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid; Actimoist® Bio-1), Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hydroxide, Pinus Pinaster (Pycnogenol®) Bark Extract, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) Leaf Extract, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Extract, Saccharide Isomerate, Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract*, Allantoin, Organic Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance Oils.

Derma E Rejuvenating Sage & Lavender Face Oil

I have about a million face oils, so when I received Rejuvenating Sage & Lavender Face Oil, I thought “Oh, another oil”. When I opened the box, I loved the look of the golden oil in a clear glass dropper bottle. (I keep the bottle in a closed cabinet so I’m not worried about the oil’s ingredients degrading).

When I tried Rejuvenating Sage & Lavender Face Oil, it was love at first use. I adore the relaxing natural herbal scent that is not too heavily sage nor heavily lavender. The sage and lavender oils are great for soothing and texturizing skin. There are also marula, sea buckthorn and jojoba oils – rich in antioxidants – in the lightweight oil.

Rejuvenating Face Oil literally makes my skin feel like velvet. And it does a magnificent job hydrating my dry skin that’s drier now due to the indoor dry heat. In fact, rather than using it only at night as I was doing with other oils, I’ve started pressing a few drops of Rejuvenating Face Oil into my skin in the morning after cleansing and toning too. It makes a big difference for me.

Derma E Rejuvenating Sage & Lavender Face Oil contains 1. fl. oz./30 ml and is priced at $16.50. It is vegan and gluten-free.

Ingredients: Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula) Seed Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary Sage) Oil, Organic Hippophae Rhamnoides (Seabuckthorn) Fruit Oil*, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Lavandula Hybrida (Lavandin) Oil, Natural Fragrance Oils.

Derma E skincare is sold on the Derma E website where there is a holiday sale for 3 more days. It’s also available at Ulta Beauty, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Dermstore.com, Lovelyskin.com, Vitaminshoppe.com and more.

  12. My Nail Polish Obsession says:

I am genuinely confused how oil works for the face…or why I would want to put it on my face.

    1. Because face oil balances oil production and can reduce oil production and breakouts. It also delivers nutrients to the skin. If you have oily skin, oils such as jojoba, tea tree, squalane or marula oils suit that skin type better than others. And oil should only be used at night if you’re oily.
