Derma e Evenly Radiant Dark Circle Eye Creme & Giveaway Purifying Charcoal Mask

A while ago, I was sent two products from derma e, a brand that I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. derma e makes high quality natural skincare products with effective ingredients at sensible prices. It is a family owned, California company, started in 1984. Although I splurge every now and then, the majority of the time I want to get the most bang for my buck.

derma e Evenly Radiant Dark Circle Eye Crème with Pycnogenol

I love eye creams, and I love to try out as many as possible. But because of my sensitive skin, a lot of eye creams make the skin around my sensitive eyes burn. Not so derma e Evenly Radiant Dark Circle Eye Crème. It is very gentle! A lightweight beige/flesh tone cream, it goes very smoothly, absorbs quickly and is very soothing.

Fortunately, I don’t have very dark circles so derma e Dark Circle Eye Crème brightens my under eye area quite well and makes my eyes look less tired. I don’t have under eye puffiness so I don’t know how it would do to get rid of that. It does help soften the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes.

derma e Evenly Radiant Dark Circle Eye Creme neversaydiebeauty.com @redAllison

So what’s in it? derma e highlights the following:

  • Pycnogenol to visibly reduce dark circles and puffiness.
  • Vitamin C, Madonna Lily Plan Stem Cells, Vitamin Bc and Bearberry help illuminate eyes
  • Moisture infused with Green Tea antioxidants help smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles

It also contains some key ingredients that I look for in skincare products: hyaluronic acid for moisture, niacinamide to help reduce lines and wrinkles, and soothing witch hazel.

In effect, I have found the derma e Evenly Radiant Dark Circle Eye Creme is as effective at brightening my eye area as another more expensive brand of prestige eye cream that I had been using.

derma e Evenly Radiant Dark Circle Eye Crème contains 0.5 oz/14 g and is priced around $29.95. derma e is sold on the derma e website, at CVS, Ulta, Target, Vitamin Shoppe, the dermstore.com, vitacost.com, iherb.com, and other retailers. Importantly, the derma e brand is cruelty-free, 100% vegan, and paraben-free.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Propanediol, Capric/Caprylic Triglyceride, Niacinamide, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Pinus Pinaster (Pycnogenol) Bark Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid; Actimoist Bio-1), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium (Canadian Willowherb) Extract, Lilium Candidum (Madonna Lily) Extract, Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi (Bearberry) Leaf Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Seed Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract , Caffeine, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane Zinc Oxide, Zinc Oxide, Potassium Sorbate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask

derma e also sent their Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask with Marine Algae and Activated Charcoal. Because I have such dry, sensitive skin, I avoid charcoal masks – although it does say that this mask is OK even for sensitive skin, but if you have normal, combination or oily skin, a charcoal mask can be just the thing to absorb excess oils and help clean and minimize the size of pores. This mask contains the popular kaolin and Bentonite Clays that give it its gray color and leave you with lovely clean, radiant skin!

derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask neversaydiebeauty.com @redAllison

Here’s how derma e describes the key ingredients in the mask and what they do:

  • Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask is a dual-action formula decongests pores of excess sebum, dirt and toxins, then exfoliates away harmful micropollutants for a fresher, healthier, purely glowing appearance
  • Kimarine Wakame and Bladderwrack marine algae help boost skin purity and resiliency
  • Activated Charcoal draws out toxins from skin’s surface down to the pores
  • Kaoline and Bentonite Clays absorb excess oils and impurities, relieving skin congestion
  • Apricot Seed Powder gentle exfoliates away micropollutants

It is recommended to use the mask once or twice a week for best results. The mask has been clinically tested. The mask is also gender-neutral so men can certainly use it too!

derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask comes in a plastic tube and contains 1.7 oz./48 g and is priced around $19.50.

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Kaolin, Bentonite, Glycerin, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Seed Powder, Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwrack) Extract, Undaria Pinnatifida (Wakame, Kimarine) Extract, Charcoal Powder, Epilobium Angustifolium (Canadian Willowherb) Extract, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract* (.1%), Menthyl Lactate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
