Derma E Skin De-Stress CBD Cheek & Eye Cream

Unfortunately, my eye lids and crease have become red-purple from blepharitis. Because of dry eye, my eyes create saltier tears that irritate my skin further. Ugh, how did this happen? But more importantly, what can I do about it?

For 10 minutes a day, I am supposed to put a warm compress over my eyes to create moist heat to help with the lipids and tears my eyes create (see post here about the electric compress I use). It does help my eyeballs feel better and less dry, but it doesn’t do anything for my red skin.

Derma E Skin De-Stress CBD Cheek & Eye Cream Corrector

What’s Different About It?

Derma E’s CBD facial skincare collection is one of my favorites from the brand in addition to the fab Vitamin C collection and the Anti-Wrinkle collection. CBD Cheek & Eye Cream Corrector is a new-ish addition to the family – at least it’s new to me. So far, it’s been perfect to help soothe my inflamed eye area.

It is a redness neutralizing cream that also soothes irritation. The cream comes out of the slant tip tube (with the slightly too large hole, though not as big as the hole in the tube for the Vitamin C Turmeric Eye Cream that must have been a mistake) a shade of light green.

I was surprised when I first saw it because I don’t think I have ever seen a green eye cream. After it is applied, the color changes to clear. Frankly, it isn’t enough to mitigate the red color on my eyelids, but my red eyes are the torture test. But it does do a great job soothing my irritated skin, and that’s more important to me!

What’s In It?

Hemp Seed Oil supplies skin with essential omega fatty acids while enhancing the benefits of phytonutrient-rich to restore and soothe undereye and cheek area. Antioxidant-rich Tamanu Seed Oil and skin-strengthening Pycnogenol® help reduce the appearance of puffiness to restore the area’s suppleness for a youthful-looking complexion.

Enriched with:

  • Phytocannabinoids: Known to deliver potent antioxidant benefits to help skin feel soothed and calm, Hemp Seed Oil helps to promote a protected, hydrated skin barrier
  • Hemp Seed Oil: Helps to plump the look of skin, moisturize without clogging the pores and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Tamanu Oil: Works to fight free radicals and daily aggressors while keeping skin nourished

How I’m Using It

Though Derma E positions this product as a multitasker for eyes and cheeks. I am using it just in my eye area. My cheeks aren’t sensitive or irritated, but for those with red or chapped cheeks, Derma E  Skin De-Stress could be just the thing.

With my rather complicated eye routine, I use Derma E Skin De-Stress CBD Cheek & Eye Cream Corrector primarily in my eye creases especially on the sore skin nearest my nose. I use City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment above the crease, and I use either First Aid Beauty or CeraVe Eye Cream under my eyes and on my crow’s feet. But if my eye area feels irritated during the day, I reach for Derma E Skin De-Stress CBD Cheek & Eye Cream.

Other Important Info

Derma E Skin De-Stress CBD Cheek & Eye Cream Corrector comes in a 0.5 oz. slant tip tube and is priced at $18.95. At present, I have only seen it for sale on the Derma E website. Nevertheless, keep your eyes peeled because it hopefully will appear at other retailers where Derma E is sold like Ulta, Whole Foods, iHerb, CVS etc.

Like the other Derma E products, Skin De-Stress CBD Cheek & Eye Cream Corrector is cruelty-free, gluten-free, vegan, paraben-free, and mineral oil-free.

I have tried CBD products but not this one. My eye doctor told me to take fish oil capsules that have the omega oils to help with dry eyes.

    1. My ophthalmologist also told me to take fish oil capsules, Chris, (in addition to using Restasis 2x/day and the warm moist compress). I took the fish oil capsules for a long time, but now they are so huuuuuuuge, I can’t swallow them. A friend suggested flax oil capsules, and I am going to check the size of those.

    1. Unfortunately, it’s a problem that starts in middle age and goes on forever. Luckily, makeup is the best way to camouflage the redness.
