Drooling Over Mally Mallywood Highlighting Blush

I fell in love with Mally Highlighting Blush at first sight. I read a review of it online. Fortunately for me, it landed in my mailbox a couple of weeks later.

Just look at this gorgeous all-in-one blush/highlighter! Frankly, I would call this a blush-highlighter palette because you can dip your brush into each shade individually, if you like, and I do. I love using each of the three different pink blushes on their own. Same with the pale pink and the champagne highlighters. I still haven’t tried the purple on its own, but now that I see it swatched, I think I could wear it solo.

Here are swatches of the shades individually, and the last swatch is all the shades mixed together.

I often blend all the shades together for a beautiful pink blush with a built-in satiny glow (I think it’s kind of hard to see it in the swatch photo above). To be honest, I have to be careful with highlighter. If I apply too much of it to my upper cheekbones or under my brows, I think I end up calling attention to wrinkles, so building highlighter into my blush and making my cheeks glow seems to be a better way to go.

Oh, and did I mention that it is very long wearing? That was a great surprise. This is the same photo of me that I posted yesterday, but I am wearing Mally Highlighting Blush blended. I think it shows up better in this pic than in the swatch above.

Plus the compact itself is so cute! You know me, I love the sparkle. And the gold glitter atop the hot pink compact definitely caught my eye too. It’s such fun to use.

I am so excited about the Mally Highlighting Blush, I can’t recommend it more highly! And I mostly use cream blushes. But I just adore this family of pink shades as well as the ease of having a variety of shades and highlighters all in one compact!

For $28 for 12 g/0.32 oz., I think it is such a good buy. It’s a big compact! Plus, if you sign up for emails on the Mally website, you get 15% off your first purchase and another 5% off through Ebates. Mally Highlighting Blush is also sold at Ulta, Kohl’s and QVC. Mally Beauty is a cruelty free brand.

I use her clear Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, several of her Starlight Waterproof eyeliners, blush, her Neutralizer Face Primer is really nice. I really really love her eyelid primer in the green compact (but she doesn’t offer it anymore 😩. Luckily I really stocked up on it. Her eyebrow Belivable Brows one of the BEST! 1. Mally is adorable, DiEtta, and I’m glad to hear that you’re a real fan! I also had the Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, but one of my friends wanted it so much that I gave it to her since I had a similar one from YSL. I have one of her cream stick eyeshadows, and it is one of my favorites. When Ulta has it’s coupon around the holidays, I intend to get another one. You really got my attention when you mentioned the eyelid primer because I haven’t found one I love ask much as the old formula from UD that was reformulated, but I’m sad to hear that she doesn’t make it anymore, boo! I will keep my eyes open for Mally on QVC because she definitely is fun to watch!

    1. Marcia, I was looking for the search bar on BeautyInfoZone.com to find your review to link to it, but I couldn’t find search. So I tried scrolling backwards to find your review, but I gave up after page 3. I’m sorry about that! I agree with you about favorite blush of the year (altho I have a soft spot for the cream/jelly blush from butterLONDON). It’s so darn pretty and so versatile!

This blush is so pretty, but then I’d have a hard time using it since I wouldn’t want to ruin the pattern. This is how I end up with two of everything! Haha!

    1. Haha! I’ve been surprised so far that swirling it across the whole pan doesn’t seem to mess up the individual shades. How do they do that?

  20. 25 Sweetpea says:

I’ve yet to try anything Mally but this does look nice!

    1. Surprisingly, Katie, the colors don’t seem to run together if I swirl my brush around all the shades! I’m so glad about that because I love looking at the palette, and I also like to use individual shades
