For this weekend, Jeff and I are returning after a year off when we were in the UK to the Topsfield Fair, a local agricultural fair that we have been visiting for more than a decade. I’m psyched to see the bunnies, horses, cows, goats, and sheep as well as chickens and ducks. Also, the beautiful prize-winning produce and floral arrangements. Should be a fun time.
In addition, we’re planning to go to the movies at an actual theater, though a small privately owned theater with comfy chairs and couches where you can bring your own dinner, if you like. “Lee”, a biographical movie starring and produced by Kate Winslet, about the former Vogue model, muse of Surrealist Marcel Duchamp, photographer and most importantly, war photographer during WWII. There’s a famous photo of Lee Miller, fully clothed in her battle gear, sitting in Hitler’s bath tub after his demise. It should be an interesting film.
