Last week, I wrote about Eddie Funkhouser’s super pretty Cheek Singles (enter the giveaway here if you haven’t already) and Bronzer & Sculpt Powder. This week, I must show you some more pretties from his eye makeup collection.
Hyperreal Eye Color Palette: Bedroom Eyes
Let’s start with eye shadow! The Hyperreal Eye Color Palette comes in 4 different shade families from neutrals to bright.
I received Bedroom Eyes, a cool-toned quad with purple-plum shades. For me, purple-plums are neutrals, great for everyday or using the deeper tones for an evening look. The quad has a pearl highlighter, two shimmer shades, and a deep matte, so it’s a great small palette to keep in your purse or tote bag or to take if you’re traveling because it has everything you need for an eye look in one place.
Here are the swatches:
- white pearl
- plum shimmer
- mauve-rose shimmer
- deep plummy brown matte.
The shades were nicely pigmented. I applied them over Urban Decay Anti-aging Primer Potion. There is a bit of dust in the pans especially the matte brown as you can see in the swatches, but I haven’t noticed any fall out on my eyes. The shadows feel buttery, and they are very easy to blend. The makeup lasts without fading till I remove it.

Hyperreal Pure Pigment
I have to be honest, the Hyperreal Pure Pigment is the makeup I’m most excited about!
First, I love the little pots that have flip tops that reveal sifters. I love how the packaging makes it easy to keep everything neat and clean.
Second, the colors themselves are fabulous. There are 6 shimmer shades, and I received three:
- Penny Lane: rosy copper
- Emerald City: emerald green
- Catchlight: champagne
I absolutely adore these little cuties. I shake a little pure pigment into the cap and apply with my brush. With some other pigments, I needed to use setting spray to keep the pigment in place on my eyes or to deepen the shade. No need with these pigments. So far, they stay put on my brush and on my eyes. I may play around with setting spray and see if it deepens the shades further (though I am happy with them the way they are.)
Champagne is great for the inner corner, under the brows as a highlighter, or as a pale golden eye shade. Sometimes I like to use it in the inner part of my lid and blend it into Penny Lane with the deep plummy-brown matte from the Hyperreal Eye Color Palette in the outer V. Penny Lane and Emerald City are both my kind of shades.
The Hyperreal Pure Pigments can be mixed with Eddie’s Chromographic Eye Gloss for a glossy finish.

Graffiti Creme Eye Pencil
Graffiti Creme Eye Pencil is an eye pencil with a surprise. Actually a couple of surprises. First, it’s the creamiest eyeliner I think I’ve ever used. It’s definitely a gel creme pencil, and that makes it very easy to apply.
Second, it has a little – no actually a big – surprise under the cap on the other end: it has both a sharpener and a smudger. The sharpener is a must to keep this creamy pencil sharp. It’s the cutest little sharpener, too! Then with the smudger and the creamy formula, it’s so easy to smudge the liner either on the lid or under the lower lashline for a smokey eye.

Ultra Definition Eye Lining Stylus
The Ultra Definition Eye Lining Stylus is a liquid eyeliner with a fine, tapered brush tip that gives me a lot of control. Used straight at the tip, it creates a perfect, thin line. Angled, the brush can give a wider line. It’s up to you!
I often have a hard time with liquid eyeliner, but this one is so easy to use even I have no trouble! It dries quickly, doesn’t fade, and it’s also a deep black.

Quattro Variable Lash Mascara
The Quattro Variable Lash Mascara is cool indeed. It has a big wand with plastic teeth. I had been using a very short wand so I had to readjust to this Big Daddy!
Quito Variable Lash Mascara won an award for its revolutionary FX DIAL that allows you to customize how much mascara you deposit on your lashes and how big you build them up.
There’s a little dial at the end of the top of the wand that has 4 different settings that you can click into as you turn the dial, and turning the dial twists the plastic teeth of the long wand. In the photo below, I believe the wand is set to #2 (line up the two dots with the white line). In addition to the twist of the wand teeth, the amount of mascara that gets onto the wand increases.
Eddie’s tip in using the Quattro Variable Lash Mascara is to set the dial to #1 (one dot) and apply two separate coats of mascara, allowing each coat to dry in between. Next, set the dial to #4, and apply another coat for maximum length and volume.
During the day, I usually set the dial to #2 and I get nicely lengthened lashes that are volumized enough for me. For evening, I will apply a base coat with setting 1 or 2 and then crank it up to 4 for a more dramatic look. The variable wand is definitely a unique feature. If you’re a lash techie, you’ll enjoy this one.
The mascara is good stuff! It creates both length and volume (big length and volume if you use setting #4), it doesn’t clump or flake.

I am totally in love with the Quatro Mascara and the liquid eyeliner. I can’t get enough of either. I wish that Eddie would make a brown liquid, then life would be perfect! I don’t have those pigments and need to get ahold of some. They look beautiful.

I don’t know if Eddie Funkhouser, a well-known MUA in the US, sells internationally. I’m guessing not at this point. His makeup is really wonderful, and the mascara is so innovative!

I love-love-LOVE Eddie’s mascara, it’s such a cool wand and those settings work exactly as you’d expect, from natural to bold. That and the lipsticks are #1 products from his line for me. Those pigments look amazing though!
