Yesterday was Jeff’s birthday, and as usual, we went out to dinner. Jeff likes to get a steak for his birthday, and every year we choose a different steakhouse. This year, we picked a suburban location rather than going in to Boston. Still fun!

As a reminder, Ulta’s Fall 21 Days of Beauty starts on Sunday. This season, they’re having a lot of surprise products that won’t be revealed till the day of to keep you coming back. There are a lot of the usual but very good mainstream as well as Asian and indie brands – Clinique, Lancome, MAC, Murad, Benefit, Peach & Lily, and about a million more. One of my favorite eye creams from belif – Moisturizing Eye Bomb – will be 50% off on Labor Day, Sept. 5, and there are a couple more staples that I may snag. Plus the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence may be worth trying at half price on the last day. Anything you think you’ll buy during the sale?
