It’s the weekend again, and sadly, this is the last weekend in September. It’s really autumn. Here in Massachusetts, the maples have turned color, and other trees are beginning to follow suit. I am not ready!
Although Halloween is usually a fun time in my ‘hood because we have or had so many kids, I think that trick or treating will most likely be cancelled in my town this year. Better to be safe than sorry. Our public schools are hoping to start a hybrid program on October 1, and I have a feeling they won’t want to take too many risks that could upend the kids having at least a couple of in-person school days each week. Tough times.
But it’s going to be a beautiful and warm-ish weekend here. Jeff and two of my friends and I are going to have a socially distanced dinner outdoors on the deck of a restaurant that overlooks a salt marsh in Essex MA. Our reservation is early so that we’ll have at least an hour to see the view before the sun sets at 6:30! I’m looking forward to it. We don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to go out to dinner because the nights are decidedly colder. So I will enjoy this evening while I can. Let me know what you’re up to these days!
