Essie Expressie “In the Time Zone” Quick Dry Nail Polish

In the spring and summer, I spend so much time gardening, i.e. digging in the dirt, that it doesn’t make sense to me to spend a lot of time and/or money on manicures. That includes both going to a salon or doing it myself. But still I like to have polish on my nails from time to time.

Thus, Essie Expressie Quick Dry Nail Polish has become my BFF of nail polishes. It dries literally in a minute. Not only does it not require a base coat or topcoat, they are contraindicated. So that means a mani in less than 5 minutes. When I only spend 5 minutes doing my nails, I don’t have a problem removing the polish after gardening and starting again most likely with another shade.

Another key benefit of Expressie polish is the fabulous brush. It is wide and slightly angled. It truly makes polishing nails, even for a klutz like me, a breeze.

Today, I had to pick up a prescription at CVS, and I had $4 in Extrabucks that had to be spent by today. A spring/summer pastel pink on my relatively short nails seemed to be the right thing. I picked up “In the Time Zone”, shade 200, a cool-toned light pink with blue undertones. It ended up costing me $5 at CVS which is certainly worth it for such a time-saver.

Essie Expressie may not have the variety and uniqueness of the indie polish brands that I love, but it sure is easy to use.

It’s sold at drug stores, Target, Ulta, Macy’s, Amazon etc. The regular price is around $9/bottle.

Have you tried Expressie polish yet?

That is a pretty shade at a great price. Recently I lost $15 in ECBs – Extra Care Bucks – at CVS. I was so disappointed with myself that I didn’t pay attention to the end date of that much money. I know better too! Glad you didn’t lose the $4!

    1. Oh heavens, Mary, I know that nightmare of misplacing or forgetting about a significant amount of Extrabucks money! Now, you can link your CVS card to the app or the online website, and they load everything (supposedly) to your card so when you shop the offers comes up automatically. Unfortunately, I don’t think they send out reminders to use your Extrabucks as the date approaches, grrrr.

  2. Oh Allison, that is absolutely fetching! What a lovely shade and it is just so beautiful on you!

  4. If you are looking for a great quick dry nail polish this is it! Two coats done and dry in five minutes. Holds up really well especially for a quick dry nail polish. Compared to essie’s regular nail polishes it does leave a little to be desired in the finish, but for a quick dry nail polish it is fantastic and meets my expectations very well

    1. I’m actually not a big fan of the regular Essie polish because the formula separates often on the shelf in the store before I have brought it home, so I stopped buying it. I prefer the Expressie formula because the polish stays mixed and you can’t beat a 5 minute mani. If I want a better polish, it’s KB Shimmer all the way
