Estee Lauder Gift with Purchase, Lord & Taylor August 2013

I’ve attracted lots of women to Never Say Die Beauty with announcements and descriptions of the Spring and Summer joint promotions between Estée Lauder and Lilly Pulitzer. I’ve been really curious about whether it’s the Estée Lauder products or the Lilly Pulitzer print bags that are the real draw. Hopefully, it was both!

This time, Estée Lauder is doing a gift with purchase on their own. It started on August 7. The gift is 8 pieces in what they’re calling “A Bold New Bag”, a cream colored bag that looks almost like a clutch. The bag is embossed with an attractive diamond pattern.

The 8 piece gift (not including the bag!) includes:

  • sample size daytime and nighttime moisturizer duo: your choice of either Advanced Time Zone moisturizers (anti-wrinkle) or Resilience Lift (lifting/firming) moisturizers
  • Perfectionist Serum
  • Pure Color Lipstick
  • Double Wear Lip Pencil
  • Dual-Ended Pure Color Gloss and Sumptuous Mascara in one tube
  • travel mirror trimmed in the same material as the bag.

Instructions and tips on how to create the Estée Lauder “fuller-looking signature lips” are included in the bag.

Both moisturizer choices are great. I find the Advanced Time Zone to be lighter weight, and the Resilience Lift just a bit more concentrated. And I prefer the subtle fig scent of Resilience Lift to the more floral Advanced Time Zone fragrance.

I love the convenience of the gloss/mascara duo to toss in my purse!

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find the shades of the Pure Color Lipstick and Gloss. I don’t know why they keep it a secret! But they appear to be part of the Metallics Collection.

In order to qualify for the gift, you must spend $45+ at Lord & Taylor. It appears that you can purchase any products within the Estée Lauder range. (In order to qualify for the Macy’s Lilly Pulitzer tote gift this summer, I was required to make a foundation or skincare purchase.) So this has more flexibility! To get free shipping at Lord & Taylor, you usually have to spend $50+.

So, I’m curious: is it the Estée Lauder products…or the Lilly Pulitzer print bags that’s the lure??  Let me know!!
