Eva Naturals is a boutique, family-owned natural skincare business in the heart of Cajun country in south Louisiana. The company uses plant-based botanicals and safe-science, synthetic ingredients like retinol, peptides and hyaluronic acid in their skincare that produce significant results. Their products are free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, animal oils, coal tar or synthetic dyes, formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers, mercury, petroleum-based ingredients like polyethylene glycol (PEGs), DEA/MEA/TEA, or questionable preservatives like methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone.
Importantly, Eva Naturals makes affordable products. And the company has a 90 day, no questions asked guarantee.
In December, I received a bottle of Eva Naturals Hyaluronic Acid + B5 Serum. I
t waited in my stash till about a month ago when I finished up the HA serum I had been using. I was happy to have another HA serum at the ready. The fact that it uses plant-based and better-for-you synthetics made me feel good about switching to a new-to-me brand.
Current Eva Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum
I think that Eva Naturals may have sent me an older product to test because their current bottle of hyaluronic acid serum that’s on their website has a slightly different and seemingly updated label design and a different type of pump.
Importantly, the newer product has a number different ingredients including CoQ10 and the hyaluronic acid is closer to the beginning of the ingredient list so it makes up a great percentage of the formula than the version that I have been using that has retinol closer to the beginning and HA in the middle of the ingredient list. I think that the new formula will be lighter weight because water is the first ingredient instead of aloe and glycerin that lead the ingredient list in the one I am using.
New/Current Eva Naturals HA Serum Ingredients: aqua (distilled water), carbomer, xanthan gum, hyaluronic acid, lavandula angustifolia (lavander) oil, anthemis nobilis (chamomile) flower extract, calendula officinalis (marigold) extract, dimethyaminoethanol, palmitoyl dipeptide-5 diaminobutyloyl hydroxythreonine, palmitoyl dipeptide-6 diaminohydroxybutyrate, DMDM hydantoin, potassium sorbate, colorant, parfum (fragrance), tetrasodium EDTA, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), coenzyme Q10, alpha lipoic acid, thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin C ester, tocopherol (vitamin E), cobalamin (vitamin B12)
The Eva Naturals Hyaluronic Acid + B5 Serum I’m Testing
Because the HA I’m testing has retinol, I tend to use it at night though when I do use it during the daytime as well, you know I always wear sunscreen. Here are the ingredients in the serum I’m using:
I’ve been writing about hyaluronic acid on the blog for years, and HA has been a must-have ingredient in everyone’s skincare arsenal for years as well. So you already know that HA holds 1000 times its weight in water, so it helps keep skin hydrated and happy.
Sodium hyaluronate that’s in the serum I’m testing has a lower molecular weight than hyaluronic acid. It’s small enough to penetrate the epidermis, i.e. top layer of the skin, so it can attract and hold moisture below the skin’s surface.
The vitamin B5 that’s in the serum I’m using is also in the new version. Vitamin B5 is also known as panthenol, a common ingredient in both skincare and haircare products because it helps skin and hair attract and retain moisture while also protecting and potentiating the natural repair process.
The Eva Naturals HA + B5 Serum is a medium weight clear liquid. I would call it medium weight because of the glycerin and aloe keep it from being water weight. It dries quickly and gets along well with other serums, moisturizer, and foundation.
After more than three weeks using Eva Naturals Hyaluronic Acid + B5 Serum, I’m pleased with it. It helps plump, smooth and soften my skin.
Both versions come in brown glass 2 ounce pump bottles. The current version is on sale on the Eva Naturals website for $12.95 with free delivery, marked down from the regular price of $23.95. It’s a good deal, I would say.
I recommend that you take a look at the Eva Naturals website next time you’re looking for affordable, cruelty-free, vegan skincare. IMHO, especially when you’re looking for a serum with well-known, “common” ingredients like hyaluronic acid serum, you shouldn’t have to pay for fortune for it.
This sounds fantastic! I can hardly wait to try it. HA is so effective in its ability to plump fine lines and retain hydration. It’s such a great idea to pair it with B5!

The Eva Naturals HA + B5 Serum is a good one. Not sure why they changed the formula, but that one looks really good too!
I’ve learned over the years that it’s not the price of the product but the effectiveness. This sounds effective and that’s what counts.
