Exuviance Intensive Eye Treatment Pads

Oh, I’m finding all kinds of new skincare products to try out! I received a box of Exuviance Intensive Eye Treatment Pads via Brandbacker, the bloggers’ association, in exchange for an honest review.

The box contains 12 packets containing two very thin fabric eye treatment pads (like a sheet mask) that are saturated with lactobionic acid (10%) that hydrates while it stimulates cell renewal and supports the eye’s deep matrix to firm the eye area and minimize the look of fine lines and even crow’s feet. They also contain vitamins A, C and E that are great for revitalizing skin.

Exuviance-Intensive-Eye-Pads-packets

The pads are designed to be used for a short period, i.e. 10-30 minutes. I tried other eye pads that were meant to be worn overnight, and sometimes that wasn’t so convenient. I find the Exuviance Intensive Eye Treatment Pads to be easier to use because I don’t have to commit as much time to keeping them on plus they’re more comfortable since they’re much lighter weight .

Exuviance Intensive Eye Pads are applied directly to clean dry skin. They’re easy to apply, just smooth each one on, and they stay on with no problem. They also fit well. Although they look really funny on, they feel good – rather cooling – especially nice when my eyes are tired at the end of the day. (Could I look more hideous?)

me-Exuviance-Eye-Pads

Leave them on for 10-30 minutes, then remove and discard the pads. Do not rinse, but instead massage in any remaining solution and follow up with eye cream. Sometimes I will apply the eye pads, and then put on nail polish and relax for up to a half hour waiting for my nails to dry and my Exuviance Intensive Eye Pads to do their magic!

I have very sensitive eyes, but I have no trouble with these eye pads whatsoever. They’re dermatologist- and allergy-tested, and they’re fragrance-free. The pads can be used 2-3 times a week.

Because my crow’s feet are more pronounced now that I’m older, I’d love to find an intensive treatment that makes them less obvious. I can’t say at this point that I see any change in the skin around my eyes, but I’ve only used 3 of the 12 packets of eye pads so far. I definitely intend to use up the entire box!

Exuviance Intensive Eye Treatment Pads are priced at $48. Check out the Exuviance website to learn more about this innovative product and to purchase them. Made in the U.S. Exuviance does not test on animals and uses non-animal-derived ingredients.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Lactobionic Acid, Glycerin, Polysorbate 80, Arginine, Retinyl (Vitamin A) Palmitate, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C Ester), Disodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 17200 (Red 33).

Have you tried eye treatment pads yet?

  1. I have never tried an eye mask like this – I also have sensitive eyes so that’s why I’ve been hesitant to try anything like that but this review sounds like it would be a lovely way to relax after a long day! 🙂

    1. They are very relaxing. I have dry eye and blepharitis and have lots of problems with eye creams etc, but I have no problem with these and they are right up near my eyes. They are very refreshing, and I am hoping that they’ll do something to reduce the appearance of my lines (I’m sure you don’t have any yet!) and help hydrate the skin more than with just eye cream.

  2. Debra Brownstein says:

Hi there! First off,I’ve still been faithfully reading your blog but got caught up in asthma and asthma proofing the house which left me little time to do more than just read. Still a faithful reader! Anyway, how funny that you are featuring the brand Exuviance because the other day, when at Ulta, when I had overswatched my hands and arms, I was given some Exuviance gentle Cleansing Cream to remove the mess. Wow! Tiny pump worked on whole hand and arm- no water rinsing needed. Left my skin soft, no residue. It’s now high on my to buy list! It’s a little pricey but . . . . On another note, a technical question because I am tech-disabled and cannot figure out why your blog platform will not allow me to comment while using my iPad. Have you heard of anyone else having this issue? Any thoughts on how to fix this problem? Lastly, a long time ago you asked me about Besame’s Brightening French Vanilla Translucent Powder on Instagram. while I’ve loved all of my other Besame products, I have to admit it wasn’t very effective in terms of counteracting redness. Smells great and as with all Besame products the packaging is lovely. But up until recently, I was using Clinique’s Redness Solutions Loose Mineral Powder which was older than dirt and not even available anymore. But then I found my new HG, Cover F/X Custom Cover Drops. Where has that been all my life?! Helps me on both just blotchy days and days when rosacea flares. Even covers my freckles. Without that caked on feeling. Back to Besame. The other products I have tried, I really like. Besame lipstick in Cherry Red was my first ever red lipstick and still my go to for days when I want lots of pigmentation and longevity. Whew! Yikes! Months of keeping my mouth shut and you get the never ending comment!

    1. How wonderful to hear from you, Debra. I hope you’re feeling better now. It’s been a tough season for allergies and asthma. I apologize about you not being able to comment from your iPad. I have not been able to find a mobile platform that doesn’t interfere with mobile commenting. I will try contacting the app IT folks again, but they weren’t very helpful, and I tried a different mobile platform and it was no better for commenting. I really need an IT consultant, but unfortunately, I can’t afford to hire one right now. I hope I’ll be able to one of these days! Thanks for letting me know that I’m not missing out too much on the Besame Vanilla Powder! I would love to try the lipstick, however. And Cherry Red!! I’ve been using the CoverFX Custom Drops too, and I find they differ from product to product. Using them with one moisturizer with SPF, the mixture would break on my skin after a couple of hours. But with other CC creams or other foundations, it has worked very well. I’m so glad you found the right combo of products to use your with. What are you mixing them with, coz I’d like to try it. I haven’t found they have given me full coverage with anything I’ve tried tho’ maybe with my NARS Weightless All Day Foundation. I hope I can get the mobile commenting issue fixed soon so I can hear from you more often, Debra. But thank you for getting back to me on all these issues today. Love chatting with you! Feel good 🙂

      1. Debra Brownstein says:

Hi there! No worries on the whole IT/commenting on mobile devices. I will just get on the PC to comment. I’ve become way too attached to my iPad and the PC is on my husband’s desk (a very scary, messy “man” space!). I simply have to take a few steps away from my half of the office space. Like I said, I’ve become way to dependent on my iPad, sort of like a child and their special blanket.
I’ve used the CoverFX Drops successfully with Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream and Benefit’s Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Sunscreen Makeup (can these names be any longer?). The drops did not work with IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream. I cannot seem to make that CC cream work for me at all in terms of shade and coverage. I have yet to try it with L’Oreal True Match . I do believe that I am the one person on this planet that NARS’ Weightless All Day Foundation was a complete bust on my skin. Such an individual kind of thing.
Thanks for your good wishes; it is great to be able to breath in my own home! It has been a terrible season for allergies/pollen plus, in my neck of the woods (Philly area) the humidity is just gross. I appreciate all your pictures of flowers; I’ve had to give up gardening, so I live vicariously through others’ pictures! Best wishes 🙂

        1. I don’t blame you, Debra. My iPad is the 2nd version of the first generation iPad, and it hasn’t been able to be updated in a few years. I really need a new one, but I may just get an iPhone 6 plus and let that suffice. I appreciate you making the effort to comment from your hubby’s PC!! Very interesting to hear about what worked with your CoverFX CCD. Unfortunately, I don’t have either of the two products that worked for you. I do have the IT CC Cream but Fair works for me in winter and Light in summer, and sometimes I mix the two so I don’t really need to add the CCD. I’ve gotta review the NARS Weightless one of these days. I’m lucky that it does work on me, but the shade selection though fairly wide isn’t good for me. Montblanc that’s supposed to be the pinkest is still too yellow. The CoverFX CCD helps somewhat but its still not a perfect shade match for me. But I have fallen for that lightweight feel! Hope the pollen count will fall one of these days. I’ll post more flower pix that you can enjoy indoors!! xoxo

  3. I really liked these eye patches as well, they make the skin look so smooth.

    1. I agree!

  4. I have never tried these eye treatment pads, but your review definitely makes me want to try them! Since, like you, I have sensitive eyes– these seem well worth trying!

  6. I just started using mine as well, I am hoping to look 21 again very soon heheh

    1. I think you’re right, Sammi. They are a relaxing treat. And I hope they’ll fade my lines at least somewhat over time. You should try out the Skyn Iceland eye pads!

  12. These sound so nice & relaxing! I might need go try some eye treatment pads & add them to my pamper routine! I’d be very interested if these actually do what they say & reduce crows feet over time. 🙂

    1. I’m a lot older than you, Kate, so I imagine it’ll take more than one box to do the trick for me. But I’ve got my fingers crossed that they’ll reduce the appearance of the lines I have so they won’t be as obvious or else I’ll have to just stop smiling, lol

  13. I love eye masks so these sound like something I should try out. Oh and I received the sunscreen on Saturday and I used it over the weekend. So far I’m loving it. Thanks for the giveaway!

  14. Glad to hear they haven’t bothered your eye skin at all, because I have a super sensitive eye area as well. I’m interested to hear how these worked when you’ve finished them all!

    1. I think that the pads in conjunction with Paula’s Choice 1% Retinol Serum and 8% AHA Serum have gotten rid of some new wrinkles that appear this past winter/early spring under my right eye socket. I was so upset when they first appeared, and I am so grateful that they seem to be gone (for now at least!).

  15. I’ve tried a Klorane eye treatment mask but I’m not sure if I saw too much of an effect from it. I am curious if these would work better!
Mai recently posted…The Triple Threat to Tackling Dark CirclesMy Profile

    1. Mai, the dermatologist/researchers who started this company were the guys who first used glycolic acid to help aging skin. Exuviance and parent brand, NeoStrata, usually have some heavy-duty ingredients in them. While these are relaxing to put on, I think regular use of these (meaning more than one box) can provide target skincare to the eye area. This winter and spring, I noticed new lines and wrinkles under my right eye socket that I didn’t previously have. I was very upset about it. I have noticed that they seem to have disappeared, and I am attributing it to Paula’s Choice 1% Retinol Serum, PC 8% AHA serum, and these eye treatment pads. Whatever did it, I’m grateful!

  16. Color Me So Crazy says:

I have tried these and I love them. They are so great after a long day and absolutely help out with that extra baggage that I get sometimes. I do the same thing as you. Sit back and do my nails or scroll through Facebook or something while I wait. It’s a great “me” time activity.

    1. Yay, I’m glad you enjoy them too! I’m going to put them on tonight!!

  17. Little, baby eye masks are perfect for those beginning wrinkles. However, I don’t know if I can call mine baby anymore. 😉
Kimberly recently posted…Mask Monday: Sephora’s Ginseng MaskMy Profile

    1. Mine are certainly not baby wrinkles, Kimberly. I haven’t used enough of these to make a final pronouncement. To help fade the look of my crow’s feet will take more than a box of these. But during the winter and spring, I was seeing fine wrinkles under my right eye socket that I had never seen before. I was very upset about it. Between the Paula’s Choice retinol serum and AHA serum and these eye pads, they are gone. I am at least relieved at that!

  18. I like using these when I sleep on planes 🙂
Miranda Mendoza recently posted…15 Minute Spa Day RoutineMy Profile

    1. That’s a smart idea, Miranda, but I would be too embarrassed to be seen wearing them in public, lol

  19. I’ve tried pads before from Bliss and another company, but I can’t for the life of me think of the name. They made my under eyes feel very hydrated, but I never noticed a big difference in the skin beneath my eyes. I still keep trying them though! I love to use them after I’ve been traveling a lot!
Christine recently posted…Review: YSL Babydoll MascaraMy Profile

    1. I was noticing serious wrinkling during the winter/spring under my right eye, and I was getting very upset about it. These coupled with retinol and AHAs have made those wrinkles almost disappear. I haven’t used enough of these to see a difference in my crow’s feet, but I don’t think even one box of 12 pads (6 per eye) is enough to fade those!

  20. I like a lot of exuviance products. I use their peeling pads quite a bit.
Carleen recently posted…Summer Beauty Essentials, Part 2My Profile

  21. I don’t have crows feet yet (though I know they’re knocking on my door! lol), but these sound so heavenly. I love anything cooling/hydrating/refreshing for the eyes and the idea of an eye mask sounds great!

    1. They provide intensive hydration as well as help to fade lines and crow’s feet. I’m sure your regular hydration routine is enough, Julie 🙂

  22. Hmmm…so what are they actually supposed to do? Or what are you seeing them do? Any physical effects besides feeling great? I’m always torn on splurging on products that don’t visibly alter something…can’t decide!

Erica @ Coming Up Roses recently posted…Accent On: Grey Zone (+ Giveaway!)My Profile

    1. Erica, I’m not sure that at your age that you’re the target for this product. The objective of the eye treatment pads is to provide intensive hydration to the skin around/under the eyes and to help fade fine lines under or at the corners of the eyes, e.g. make crow’s feet less visible.

  23. I like refreshing pads for the eyes area, I think they def help with hydration but aren’t the cure of it all (wrinkles and what not).
NORAH recently posted…My Truly Radiant MomentsMy Profile

    1. I essentially agree with you, Norah. The Exuviance guys are the derms who came up with using glycolic acid for skin, so their skincare products actually have some good stuff in it. These have lactobionic acid and some arginine and vitamin A. Coupled with Paula’s Choice 1% Retinol Serum and the 8% AHA Serum, they have helped the new patch of fine lines under my right eye socket that showed up this winter disappear. I am so grateful whichever product did it!

  24. I used those a long time ago and really liked them. They are expensive but they work well. Some day I’d like to splurge on them again.
MarciaF recently posted…My beauty blogger influenced buysMy Profile

    1. They are a treat. I think that’s why I’m not using them as many times per week as the box says is doable because I want them to last!

  25. I’ve never tried eye pads. I do have more and more wrinkles under my eyes so maybe it is time to test out something like you mentioned. So many skin care items to try.

    1. Using these in conjunction with two fabulous serums from Paula’s Choice (1% Retinol and 8% AHA) have really helped me actually get rid of a new patch of fine lines/wrinkles under my right eye socket that showed up this past winter. Whichever is responsible for making them go away, I am very grateful!!

  26. I have tried products from this line, a serum although I don’t recall which one. I’d definitely try these eye pads – anything to slow the signs of aging 😛

  27. I like the idea of a targeted eye mask that also stays in place! I have to be somewhat careful with eye products because if they are too rich, I breakout around my eyes. A serum-based patch sounds pretty perfect!
Nidia – Lit From Within recently posted…All That Glitters..Really Is Gold! #isaprofessionalMy Profile

    1. These are not “rich”, they’re saturated like a sheet mask for your face. I was concerned about putting them so close to my eyes since I have a million eye problems and I’ve had no issues.

  28. That’s great that this is for sensitive skin! Also, it would be great to know if you’ve seen any significant difference in reducing crows-feet after you’re done with all the packets. I’d definitely use this if it does help rid pesky little wrinkles 😀
Vivienne recently posted…ART : Life Or Something Like ItMy Profile

    1. I’m a lot older than you, Vivienne, so I’m not even sure that one box of 12 treatments would be enough to reverse my crow’s feet. However, coupled with the Paula’s Choice 1% Retinol Serum and 8% AHA Serum that I’ve been using, some fine lines that appeared this winter under my right eye are going away. I’ll take it whichever product is responsible!

Bailey recently posted…Happy Hands with The Face ShopMy Profile

    1. I hear ya, Bailey. These do seem like sheet masks for my eyes. But I am hopeful that they are more than that, though one box may not do the trick. Exuviance is a brand started by the guys who discovered the benefits of glycolic acids in skincare, and all the products are serious, results-oriented. The eye pads contain lactobionic acid, arginine and antioxidants so I’m hopeful I’ll get at least a little more than hydration. So far, some fine lines I had under my right eye that appeared this winter are disappearing, but not sure whether it’s due to these or to other products I’m using.

The Exuviance Intensive Eye Pads are like sheet masks for my eyes, but because they’re from Exuviance started by the guys who discovered glycolic acid for skincare, they are pretty serious treatment products with lactobionic acid. Coupled with the 1% retinol serum and 8% AHA serum I’m using, they seem to be fading some wrinkles under my right eye that showed up this past winter, yay.
