Wooden Watch Review
In spite of the fact that summer is my favorite season of the year, there is no doubt that the colors and fabrics of autumn really are the most beautiful, especially here in New England when the leaves begin to change color.
And my closet becomes more appealing when I begin to switch up my wardrobe bringing the colder weather clothes upfront. Rich burgundies, brown leather, golden yellows. Leather, knits, wood. Gorgeous.
Recently, I received an amazing new fashion accessory that is unlike anything I own: a wood watch from Jord Watch. I’m a watch collector, and I have all kinds of watches, but I have never seen anything like this one. I chose the style Ely in the color, Red Sandalwood. It arrived in a beautiful carved presentation box, with the watch sitting inside on a tweed pillow. What an impression it made! Also important to me is that my watch has a Citizen watch movement and a scratch resistant mineral glass face.
I selected the red color since I love everything red. The watch is a burgundy shade, a mahogany or red walnut color. Very autumn-inspired.
The watch face is surrounded by wood and the bracelet is made from wood links. It is branded on the back of the watch face and at the bracelet enclosure with the brand name or logo.
The bracelet has a metal latch enclosure.
When you order your watch, you’ll be asked to measure your wrist (in centimeters) so the correct size bracelet can be chosen to ensure a good fit. I suggest adding a 1/4 inch to the final measurement. My watch was crafted with my exact measurement, and it is a very snug fit. An extra 1/4 inch would give me just a little extra breathing room.
It’s amazing how well my red Jord Wood Watch goes with my fall accessories and wardrobe. I love it paired with my brown, alligator print purse from Colorado and the woven red glass bead scarf from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum gift shop.
And it’s just the thing to wear with vampy, deep burgundy Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer, shade Single Ladies.
It looks great with my silk print tunic and cobalt sweater from the Peabody Essex Museum gift shop.
It’s a very handsome watch.
Jord Wood Watches come in a variety of shades: blonde, green, brown as well as red. And you can choose from a number of styles with different shape watch faces that are crafted from different materials, e.g. wood, mother of pearl etc.. Jord Wood Watches come in women and men’s styles, and I think they look great on both genders. The watches are affordable, and are available at a number of price points.
I love my distinctive Jord Wood Watch! It’s a conversation piece that is very functional as well as stylish. It has a place to show the date on the watch face which is good for me since I always forget the date!

I was worried when they resized mine it would be too big or too small, so I didn’t resize it and had my husband do it as he does with all of my highend watches. I love love that color against your skintone, it really pops.
