Always when I think that Farmhouse Fresh has hit the pinnacle of perfection, they surprise me and kick it up yet another notch! This time I want to introduce you to a new gourmand scented body oil that is perfect for holiday gifting or to wear yourself during the holiday season for deliciously-scented skin.
New Vanilla Bourbon Body Oil
I’ve been enjoying FHF’s Body Oil for quite a while. I have a bottle of Citrus Cilantro Body Oil. Citrus Cilantro is a perfect scent for summer or for anytime I feel like a crisp, fresh, botanical scent.
But you know me, my true loves when it comes to fragrance are deep, rich, spicy scents. So when I received Farmhouse Fresh’s new Vanilla Bourbon Body Oil, I literally danced around the house! I could hardly wait to try it.
Usually I photograph the products that I get for review before I use them, but this time, I was so excited I skipped the pix. I opened the pump bottle right away and went to town. I didn’t bother re-showering, I rolled up my sleeves and applied some of the golden oil to my arms.
OMG, the Vanilla Bourbon scent is truly divine. The FHF Body Oil is scented with Madagascar vanilla and small batch Texas-distilled bourbon. The result is a deep, sweet, lingering scent that is more complex and sophisticated than vanilla alone. This is a fragrance for gourmand scent lovers. It smells good enough to pour on pancakes – I’m not kidding!

Vanilla Bourbon Body Oil is a light botanical oil made from a variety of natural oils with skin-enriching omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids that have different benefits for wet or dry skin:
- non-GMO soybean, jojoba, sunflower and apricot kernel oils, all of which are highly moisturizing and that help skin retain moisture to reduce dryness
- grapeseed, oil and fruit oils that are rich in anti-oxidants to protect skin from damaging free radicals and stimulate collagen and elastin production
- shea butter, cocoa seed butter and vitamin E to seriously hydrate skin.
Vanilla Bourbon Body Oil is 99% natural, it’s vegan and gluten-free so it’s great for gift-giving since most people (who are scent-lovers) will be able to use the formula. It’s also free of parabens, sulfates or mineral oil. Importantly, it is cruelty-free.
When I apply FHF Vanilla Bourbon Body Oil to my super dry skin after showering, a small amount covers a lot of skin. Truth be told, I love the scent of this oil so much, that I probably apply too much. The more the merrier! Nevertheless, the oil sinks into my skin within a few minutes. It is very hydrating, but the oiliness disappears as it hydrates and plumps my skin.
The vanilla bourbon scent lasts probably for about 15 minutes. If I sniff my skin, I can still smell it. But the scent doesn’t linger long enough to compete with my perfume. Sometimes, I wear a vanilla note perfume in order to extend the scent.
What I would really love is for Farmhouse Fresh to launch a vanilla bourbon body mist so I could extend the fragrance further! I just adore this scent!

I feel the exact same way, Helen! I have made a serious dent in the bottle already, and I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks. I could drink it I love it so much! It is definitely my favorite body oil scent from FHF. I hope that they extend this scent into body mist and I need to see if they have it in lotion or body butter.

Claudia, I used the location finder on the Farmhouse Fresh website, and I found several privately owned day spas and salons that sell Farmhouse Fresh within 10 miles of my house! You should check it out!
It’s a tiny bottle but we usually don’t need much with body oils. I love how reasonable the price is too.
Actually, the bottle isn’t tiny in my estimation. I’ve had my bottle of Citrus Cilantro for a year and a half. Like you said, it takes so little. However, I am practically drinking the Vanilla Bourbon because the scent is absolutely divine. I know I’ll be buying more in a couple of months.

I don’t recall the last oil I used but I’m trying to get into them more. However, the Mr. is a bit adverse to vanilla so I’d have to check another scent.
