At the beginning of the summer, I saw yet another Facebook ad for a multipurpose tote bag in a cute design that was on sale. I probably have more tote bags than anyone, but this one from Farmhouse Is My Style because:
- it’s made from heavy duty cotton canvas
- it has a number of zippered pockets including the outer zippered pocket that’s handy for carrying my phone so I can get at it quickly
- it’s lined with their “Farmhouse Is My Style” lining with a rooster design
- the rope handles with a 10″ drop makes it easy to use as a shoulder bag or to carry as a regular bag.
The bag itself (that they call a “handbag”) is roomy without being too large: 16.9″ x 11″. It can hold my laptop, books, clothing, just about anything that I find myself carrying. Often, I will leave my pocketbook at home and toss my wallet, makeup bag, phone, and sunglasses in the Farmhouse bag and go. Easier than taking two bags!
Although it isn’t machine washable, it can be spot cleaned.
The “Summer Blooms” bag has 1960s-style brightly-colored flowers on a gray background. Although maybe not my usual design motif, I like it. It’s great for summer and for fall. In fact, the Summer Blooms bag was featured on the Paramount+ TV series, “The Good Fight”. The Summer Blooms bag is regularly priced at $68, but frankly, I have never seen it priced at $68 on the website. It seems to be their “loss leader”, and the price varies. Right now, it’s on sale for $39.98. Sometimes it’s even less. On Facebook now, I saw that you can get an extra 10% off with the code FRM10 at checkout.
And BTW, the bag arrived in its own dust bag for storage when not in use!
