Yesterday was Jeff’s birthday. I had to wrap his final gift, pick up the cake, and get ready for our big steak dinner at Fleming’s in Boston. We don’t eat meat very often, but that’s what Jeff likes on his birthday. We both had perfectly grilled, super delicious ribeyes. Yum. We were so stuffed that we didn’t have room for birthday cake, so we had it this morning for breakfast.
I could easily make a habit of that. But the celebration is over. Now back to vegetables and fish.
This morning, we went to Jeff’s garden. The tomatoes are doing very well, as are the eggplant, kale and celery.
I took home to carrots just harvested and a couple of large kale leaves for dinner tonight. I think I will try to make baba ganoush from the two eggplants.
