Gee, the holidays are almost over. Boo! January and February are my least favorite months. But they too shall pass and spring will get here eventually.
Yesterday afternoon, we went to the Harvard Art Museums, three museums that were renovated over the past few years to form one large museum. We saw the Rothko murals, 6 huge canvases that were created for a Harvard dining room that were badly damaged by sunlight. The damage was irreparable, so instead of trying to repair the paint and canvas, the museum, Harvard scientists in conjunction with scientists at the University of Basel in Switzerland, projected colors onto the canvases to recreate what the faded canvases originally looked like. It was a very imaginative fix.
It snowed last night. Though it wasn’t a serious storm, it was pretty messy driving and it left some snow on the ground. We stopped at Sapporo Ramen in Cambridge for my favorite cold winter night meal: spicy miso ramen. OMG, it is soooo delicious!
Fortunately, it’s well above freezing today, it rained for a while, and now everything is a gloppy mess…until the temperature drops and it freezes 🙁 I hope those of you who live in warm climes appreciate your good fortune! 🙂

That soup looks amazing! We just moved to the Boston area last week!
I’ll have to stop there. I don’t know my way around yet, but, can’t wait to try
the restaurants.
Valerie, I am addicted to this ramen at Sapporo Ramen. It’s located in the Leslie University building in Porter Square in Cambridge. Inside the first floor of the building is a small Asian mall with a few stores and a number of little Asian restaurants. There is almost always a line (thankfully indoors) to get seated at Sapporo Ramen, but it’s worth the wait IMHO. Cash only, but there are cash machines in the building. Welcome to the Boston area! I hope you like it. And thanks for commenting!
Thank you so much! My son, especially, would really love this. We will go for sure!
I hope he enjoys it if you get there 🙂
That soup does look delicious. I have never had real ramen before.
It’s freezing in Michigan too, only 9 degrees. I know winter’s just started but I am so ready for spring!

I’m with you, Agata! It was 16 here today, and I think it’s going to be colder tomorrow. I hate it. And real ramen is nothing like the stuff for a buck in the grocery store 😉
Will check out those posts. They are worth reading I suppose. 🙂 Soup is tempting.
