Fleur & Bee Just Dew It Hydrating Serum

Like I need another hydrating face serum, right? But I couldn’t resist an ad on Facebook to try out just such a product from natural, clean beauty, cruelty-free, and vegan brand, Fleur & Bee. (Since “bee” is in the name, I didn’t think it was vegan, but I guess the products do not include ingredients from bees!). The deal was that the serum would be completely free, just pay for shipping.

I believe I have received at least one product from Fleur & Bee in the past in my Ipsy/Boxycharm boxes, but I don’t remember them. Sadly, they are probably in my huge skincare product stash.

In addition to being a clean beauty brand, Fleur & Bee donates 1% of their sales to the international charity, Days for Girls. Days for Girls provides menstrual care products and education to girls in need, particularly girls around the world. Locally, Fleur & Bee gives back as well. They help their local community by providing their time as well as resources. As a team, they currently volunteer with the Los Angeles Regional Food BankToys for Tots, and Union Station Homeless Services. They also partnered with Donate Beauty to gift beauty products to healthcare workers, and donated hand sanitizer to homeless shelters in the Los Angeles area where Fleur & Bee is located.

But here’s the skinny on the Fleur & Bee product I received to try out.

Just Dew It Hydrating Serum won the Self Magazine award for “Best Serum for Dry Skin”. Well, that’s me with dry skin. Fleur & Bee says the benefits of the serum include:

  • Hyaluronic acid aids in all-day skin hydration
  • Rich in nourishing vitamins and antioxidants
  • Superfood complex restores a healthy glow
  • Smoothes skin while fighting signs of aging.

Specifically, the ingredients are:

Water, Glycerin (Kosher, Vegetable), Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Dimethyl Sulfone (MSM), Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil, Organic Prickly Pear Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Squalane (From Olive Oil), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, Carrageenan, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Geranium Flower Oil

With hyaluronic acid, natural oils, antioxidant vitamins E/B3/B5, glycerin, aloe and more, the serum does include lots of hydrating ingredients. None of the Fleur & Bee products include parabens, sulfates, silicones, GMOs, artificial fragrances and the more than 1300+ ingredients that are things you might want to avoid. However, the serum does include small amounts of preservative like sodium benzoate. To be honest, I like products that include preservatives because I just can’t use up all of my beauty products fast enough before they go “off”.

One thing about Fleur & Bee Just Dew It that I’m on the fence about is the color. The serum itself is a bright yellow gel-cream, and I find that it leaves a yellow cast on my fair/light skin.

As a result, I use Just Dew It at night, applying it after I cleanse and tone my skin and before I apply my night cream. The instructions say not to layer it with other serums, so that’s it, plain and simple.

Using Just Dew It does make my skin feel hydrated, nourished and a little bit plumped. It’s a very nice hydrating serum for me to use at night when I’m not using other serums as well.

Would I buy it again? Probably not, in spite of the discounts that they send me now including the 20% off with code BLOSSOM. It’s $60 for an easily recyclable brown glass dropper bottle containing 1 fl. oz. of serum. The yellow color and the fact that it is meant to be used alone makes it a little less desirable for me. Would I consider other products from Fleur & Bee? Yes, I would.

Fleur & Bee products are sold on their website, on Amazon, and on Walmart.com.

  1. I have this serum, but I haven’t used it in ages. I don’t recall it leaving a yellow tint on my skin. I will have to find it, though it has likely expired by now.

    1. Sadly, on me, the bright marigold yellow serum definitely makes my cool, pink skin look yellow. It’s a nice serum but better for me at night

I also had this serum and liked it a lot. Though I didn’t finish it I had to toss it for age. Fleur & Bee is a line I like a lot.

    1. Marcia, did Fleur & Bee Just Dew It turn your pale skin yellow? The bright yellow shade just doesn’t work with my skin.

I remember it being yellow but not that it turned my skin yellow.
