Over the past few days, it is really beginning to feel like spring. The birds are out. The sun is brighter and higher in the sky. The temperature teased us with a day or two of warmth. And the plants in my gardens are starting to push their way up through the ground. And now it’s April! April is my birthday month.
So to celebrate my birthday, I am giving away a lovely, feminine fragrance that is the essence of spring.
The fragrance that has come my way is Badgley Mischka’s new signature fragrance for women. Introduced in October 2018, Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum marks the fashion house’s 30 glamorous years.
Just to be sure we’re all on the same page, Badgley Mischka is an American fashion label designed by Mark Badgley and James Mischka, who formed a successful partnership in the late ’80s and launched their brand that combines their two names. Known for stunning evening gowns, cocktail dresses, daytime separate, shoes, and accessories, Badgley Mischka introduced their first new fragrance in 10 years to celebrate their longtime collaboration.
Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum is a fresh floral with a sparkling top that is feminine and bright. Soft magnolia blends with warm notes of musk and amber to unveil a timeless touch of elegance that is appropriate for an evening out or an afternoon in the park.
The designers were inspired by the magnolia that grew at their horse farm in Kentucky. The fragrance was developed by perfumer Richard Herpin who has created many designer, celebrity and other fragrances over the years including the first fragrance from Badgley Mischka in 2006.
Fragrance Notes:
- Top: Pear Blossom, Pink Pepper, Neroli, Iris
- Mid: Magnolia, Jasmine Absolute, Tuberose, Peony, Jasmine Sambac, Osmanthus
- Dry: Creamy Sandalwood, Coconut Wood, Musk, Amber
The main accords are floral/white floral, fresh, fruity, powdery, and woody. By those who have tried it, it is described as a spring scent, and I certainly agree. It is light and fresh as a garden breeze.
The unique oval bottle is very modern, crafted from lavender-faceted glass encased in gold. It arrived in a lavender-colored box and tote bag.
My favorite spring flowers are lavender colored flowers: lilac and wisteria, so Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum looks so springy, dressed in lavender.
The designers describe the thought behind their new fragrance this way: “Our clothes are decorative and romantic, feminine and beautiful and the fragrance encapsulates all of that…There’s always this thread of glamour that runs through everything we do, whether it’s a coffee mug or a red carpet gown and there’s nothing to us that’s more glamorous than a fragrance.”

Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum comes in a purse spray for $28 and a full size spray bottle containing 3.4 fl. oz./100 ml for $115. The fragrance is sold on the Badgley Mischka website as well as at Dillard’s. It is also available on Scentbird where you can try a 30-day supply for $14.95-16.95 (click here to join Scentbird).

As with so many times in the past you’re blogging about a topic that’s relevant to my recent interest(borderline obsession,lol). For the past 2 months or so I’ve been collecting sample perfumes in search of my signature scent. I am loving all the different scents and finding I’m not pigeonholed into one “type”. Right now I’m loving Bulgari au the Blanc and Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium. I also just received samples of Peng Lai Berdoues, Ellis Brooklyn Myth, Caroline Herrera Good Girl and Juliette HAs A Gun in Mmmm and Not a Perfume. All 4 stand outs from the MANY samples I have gotten. My favorite is the Bulgari but it’s very hard to find in less than 3.3oz. and/or on sale. I would love to try the Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum , it sounds lovely and I adore white florals. I love the fragrance notes this has. This scent sounds like one I would LOVE! The packaging is so pretty also. I am currently wearing Prada Candy but I switch my fragrances up according to my mood.

I would love to try Badgley Mishka Eau de Parfum. I like it is floral with undertones of amber. I like Thierry Mugler’s like Angel and also Alien. I like them both but wear little saving it! I have worn both for years.
