Just before Valentine’s Day, I received a surprise package and Vday card from the folks at Peter Lamas. Back in the summer, I reviewed a couple of Peter Lamas skincare products – Intensive Repair Hand Cream and Energizing Antioxidant Body Lotion – that I like a lot (review here).

I would place Peter Lamas Supreme Radiance Complexion Booster into the wonderful category of multitaskers. It’s such an interesting and versatile product! Here’s what it does:

  • smooths wrinkles
  • evens skin tone
  • helps prevent breakouts
  • illuminates complexion.

Supreme Radiance is a sheer complexion booster that can be used as a treatment product, a primer, or as an illuminating product under foundation or just on its own. After cleansing, you can apply it alone, under a moisturizer, or as a primer before foundation.

It contains a number of amazing ingredients that give the Booster its versatility:

  • maximum strength Retinol
  • Salicylic Acid
  • Coenzyme Q10
  • Vitamin E
  • light-reflecting minerals
  • natural botanicals.

The ingredients work together to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, even skintone, smooth skin texture, hydrate and protect skin, and increase skin’s radiance. It also contains dimethicone that makes this a perfect primer for me. It’s a primer with benefits IMHO.

Supreme Radiance Complexion Booster comes in a plastic tube with a pump, combining the best of both worlds. About two pumps to cover my face.

What’s surprising is the color. It’s brown! Very earthy looking. But when I apply it, it’s sheer. At first, I thought maybe it would give my skin a golden look, but the color really does disappear completely.

Here’s the complete list of ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycine soja (soybean/soja), Retinol, Salicylic Acid, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, Ubiquinone, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Silica/Silice, Annatto/Rocou (CI 75120), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil

Although it has Titanium Dioxide in the list, I don’t believe it functions as sunscreen. Because this contains retinol, I wear it under my daytime moisturizer with SPF and/or with BB/CC cream with SPF when I wear it during the day.

  1. I had no idea he has makeup line! The only thing I’ve tried from Peter Lamas is a hand cream that I received from ipsy and it’s very good. I applied it at night before bed and I wake up to the softest hands. This sounds really good, definitely worth considering to add into my stash.

I so so so love it as a primer. I mean almost as a foundation! I’m 54 and have lost 170lbs and the last 100 AFTER I turned 50! My face needs help lol I can put this on and something like It Cosmetics Celebration illumination foundation. I can swirl it on with a large powder brush, ever so lightly, and it’s really really like no makeup makeup! Just looks like a I have nice, even, tanned completion, with no foundation look at all! Unfortunately, it’s spring of ’17 and it’s nowhere to be found. The secret is out!!

      1. Dede, glad you love the Peter Lamas Supreme Radiance Complexion Booster. It does appear to be sold out on the PL website, but I just searched for it and found it on Amazon and on lovelyskin.com. Check Amazon first coz it was less expensive. LMK if you get it

  3. I wonder why it’s brown if it doesn’t leave a warm tint? So neat. Just to show my age, when I read the name, I first thought of Lorenzo Lamas.

    1. Wow, that’s amazing, Judy! At first, I found the brown color a little off-putting but I got used to it. I haven’t used it in a while, but hearing what your husband says about your skin, I’m going to dig it out and start using it again! Thanks for your comment 🙂
