Friday Find: Signature Fragrances London

Just before the holidays, I received a perfume sample from a new fragrance house based in the UK, Signature Fragrances London. At the time, the scent was a teaser, as they hadn’t even launched yet. But now they certainly are open for business. I’m calling this a Friday Find because I put this sample in a drawer and it’s been haunting me since I received it. I’ve been coming back to it over and over again. luxury fragrance Promotional Product The scent I received is Lola. Signature Fragrances describes it as “playful & spicy” and it is classified as one of their “sweet” scents. luxury fragrance, sweet scents To me, it smells like a complex sweet floral. In spite of the fact that floral scents don’t usually work with my body chemistry, I keep coming back to it. The blending of the notes in this fragrance is so intricate, extravagant and sophisticated, there’s just something about it that appeals to me even though it’s a scent profile that’s not usually one I gravitate to. Because their fragrances are “parfum strength”, the scent is very long lasting and perfectly noticeable to others (but not overly so). It’s such an enveloping scent that is perfect for this time of year (although it would probably be great for any time of year!).

Signature Fragrances London has a fairly broad collection of scents for women as well as scents for men some of which seem like they could be gender neutral (Un Chercher, a citrusy/Oud/amber scent I’d love to try coz I love those gender neutral Oriental scents!). You can search their Scent Collection either by gender or by notes: Sweet, Floral, Fresh, Oriental Woods, Oud.

From the photos, their cut glass bottles are stunning. They are definitely the kind of classic, heavy glass bottles that are just meant for display on a gorgeous vanity. And I have one (a gorgeous vanity, that is!). And the bottles comes in an opulent matte black presentation box. Hint, hint, any gift-givers out there! Signature Fragrances London cut glass perfume bottle Signature Fragrances London can be purchased via their website. They also have a distributor – Aafke’s – for the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The scents vary widely in price, based I believe on the rarity of the ingredients. Some of the scents also have samples, and if you purchase a bottle, you get a complimentary sample of another scent. I think they also have sample packs to try. Outside of the UK, shipping can be pricey.

If you are looking for a unique, incredibly well-crafted fragrance that no one else will be wearing, or if you’re a fragrance aficionado, check out Signature Fragrances London. Some day, I’ve gotta try Un Chercher. It sounds perfect for me. In the meantime, I’m enjoying Lola.

  1. This sounds so interesting. Usually I don’t particularly like floral-y scents with my own body chemistry either, but if you kept coming back to this one…maybe it’d work on me, too!

  3. Girl, I have two of these samples haunting me too haha. I need to review them already 🙂 I really like the packaging they went with, there’s something chic and classy about it, while still being slightly over the top.

    1. Which two did you get? I’d love to try some more but the shipping costs are prohibitive to the US

      1. I got Lurre and Jasmine, and Lurre is super addicting – it’s like a spicy berry gourmand with chocolate. Jasmine is super floral and gives me headaches.

        1. Oh, Lurre sounds great. I would feel the same way about Jasmine coz I don’t like that scent.

  4. Sounds like the kind of perfume I would like! I prefer sweeter scents, but am currently wearing a very floral one.

  15. That full size bottle is stunning! I usually don’t like florals either, UNLESS they have that spicy background. 🙂

    1. The cut glass bottles are gorgeous, and each scent comes in a different cut glass bottle. They have samples, and a couple of months ago, they had a sample pack that you could try. I agree with you on perfume oils, they are so much longer lasting. And Lola is definitely a long-lasting scent. They have several florals in their women’s collection. I wish that Signature Fragrances London would team up with a US distributor to make it easier and more affordable for us to try their lovely, well-crafted fragrances here in the US. The shipping is pricey now. Definitely worth a look at their website.

  19. This sounds nice! I just ran out of my top fragrance this week, and I’m pretty sure it was discontinued. Don’t you hate when brands do that?! 🙁 I’m definitely the market for something new, so I’ll have to look into this one!

    1. Floral doesn’t usually work for me either, but this scent is so much more than a straight floral. I wish I could describe all the scent notes that are in it. It’s such an intricate scent. I’d love to have a chance to try more of them.

  25. I usually don’t like floral scents much, but your description is really tempting me to try this. It sounds really nice and the bottle is beautiful.

    1. I’m not a floral fan at all, Gio. I find this fragrance difficult to describe, but it is sweet, spicy, a bit floral and extremely intricate. Because it’s a new indie brand, I haven’t been able to find out too much about the notes. But since you are in the UK (?), you may come upon this brand. They have a good size collection of scents, and they are definitely worth checking out.

  26. I don’t huge floral fragrances that often, but man… I would pick this up specifically for that bottle, it is so beautiful. Even after using up the perfume I would probably fill it with a purple glitter liquid or something. lol
