Game Changer: Nail Butter The Nail Treatment

I do the best I can for my nails. I take biotin every night. I use base coat when I wear nail polish. I try to avoid harsh polish removers. On occasion, I would rub some argan oil on my nails and cuticles. But that’s pretty much it. Until I met Nail Butter, a game changer for my nails!

nail treatment cream

Promotional Product

Nail Butter is a thick cream that the directions say to apply to the cuticles and nails twice a day. Because it takes a while for the butter to sink in, I must admit I’ve been applying it once a day, at bedtime. It has a wonderful lemon herbal scent that smells to me like lemon verbena. I love it. (Oh, I just looked it up, and the scent is Lemongrass and it also comes in Gardenia.) In addition to applying it to my nails, I’ve been putting it on the sides of my thumbs to help stave off the exfoliative keratolysis I get every May or June, and so far, there’s no sign of it, fingers crossed.

nail treatment cream

I wish I had taken a “before” photo of my nails and cuticles. I’ve been using Nail Butter for 3 weeks. Before using Nail Butter, my cuticles looked thick and were quite visible. Now, I can hardly see them, and they are much softer and easier to push back. Also, in spite of the ridges that I’m afraid are inevitable when you get older, my nails look and feel much healthier. Recently I wore a glitter polish with hearts, and I had to scrape off the hearts which was not so great for my nails. I put Nail Butter on and the damage was gone. Yay.

bare-nails

Nail Butter is all-natural, made from essential oils and lanolin. It does not contain parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial dyes or fragrances. It’s not tested on animals. It works by creating the optimal moisture level for nails and skin. It can also be used on toenails, and I’m going to start doing that too!

Nail Butter nail treatment

It’s made in the U.S., and comes in what I consider to be a good size jar (I can’t find the actual size but take my word for it, you get a lot). It’s priced at $24 including free shipping in the U.S., and you can get 10% off by signing up for Nail Butter’s email list on their website. In addition, by signing up, you’ll be the first to find out about discounts, giveaways etc. I just found Nail Butter on Facebook too.

Do you use any kind of treatment product on your nails? Have you tried Nail Butter?

Oh I love the smell of lemongrass! Your nails look so healthy. Nothing seems to help mine. Maybe this would. Thanks for the review.

    1. Thank you for commenting, Laura! Nail Butter has made a difference for my nails, but then, it’s just gardening, aging and regular wear and tear that it has to deal with. My friend, Amy, just told me she bought some after reading my review and got 25% off, but she too has damage from gardening and tiling her bathroom rather than health issues.

  2. I absolutely love lemongrass! This sounds like a really amazing product, but you had me at lemongrass!

    1. I guess I’m a lemongrass scent lover too, Lola! It reminds me a lot of the lemon verbena I grow in my garden. I love putting this stuff on, and it really has helped my battle weary nails 🙂

  3. I love a good nail butter! Never tried this one, but I have a tin of Burt’s Bees lemon butter sitting on my night table right now.

    1. I’m new to nail butter, though I did use a Barielle nail treatment cream for a while. The scent of this is just amazing! I’m sure the BB lemon butter smells great too

  4. This sounds really nice! I’ve been using Egyptian Magic on my fingernails and as a lip balm, but I would like to try this when I run out!

    1. I’ve been so curious about Egyptian Magic, Sammi. Where did you buy it?

      1. They sell it in the Birchbox shop!

  16. sounds so fabulous! Like perfect self indulgence.

    1. Hmm, that’s an interesting way to look at it, Erica. I hadn’t thought of it as a self-indulgence since it’s an extra step that I don’t usually perform, but the complex and unusual scent and the texture could definitely make it an indulgence!

  17. Jane Price says:

I’m ordering this. I’ve had terrific results with Trind, but it doesn’t seem to work for me any more. Your nails look great
    jane-in-tx

    1. Jane, I hope you have as good results as I am. I love the lemongrass scent, but it is different: lemon + herbal! My friend signed up for the email list and got 25% off the price plus free shipping. Let me know what you think!!

      1. Jane Price says:

I got 25% off, too! Only 18 bucks! Much better price than Trind.

    1. That’s great, Lisa. As a nail blogger and an accountant who must handle a lot of paper, I’ll bet it’s helpful. Also you have stunning nails!

  21. Oh I might need this. My nails are terrible. I have a ‘nail strengthening’ cream but i don’t think it works.

    1. This is more of a nourishing treatment, I think, Tess. It has made my cuticles almost invisible, and my nails that were dried out from winter and roughed up from a lot of gardening healthier looking and, I think, stronger too but I also take biotin capsules every night. Have you tried biotin?

  22. I’ve read nothing but raves about Nail Butter. It sounds like the answer to my nail problems.
MarciaF recently posted…Oil Essentials has 6 products that could change your beauty routinesMy Profile
