I love masks, and I try to do one at least once a week. I really like the masks that I can apply, and then go about my business. That’s why I have moved away from sheet masks. I think peel off masks are the most fun, and I have been having a ball with three peel-off masks from 7th Heaven:
- Black Seaweed
- Rose Gold
- Pink Guava.
I find that applying every last bit of the mask thickly to my skin and letting it dry completely in 15-25 minutes makes it easier to peel off. In fact, when I used the Rose Gold mask recently, it came off very easily all in one piece!
Black Seaweed
Though I usually steer clear of detoxifying masks since my skin is so dry already, I decided to give Black Seaweed a try. Formulated with Laver seaweed from the Welsh seaside and crushed sea buckthorn berries, the detoxifying and purifying mask did not turn out to be drying to my dry skin at all. My skin felt super clean but not stripped.
Prior to my cataract surgery, I thought I didn’t have enlarged pores. Silly me. Now that my eyesight has been corrected, my pores and wrinkles have revealed themselves to me, lol. This black mask helped clean and shrink them, at least temporarily.
After using the Black Seaweed mask, I applied my serum and moisturizer, and I felt like they were better able to do their job once my skin was deep cleaned.
For those with oily or combination skin, using the Black Seaweed once a week can show real results in deep cleaning and reducing oil and bacteria that can cause blemishes.
Pink Guava
I wrote about the Pink Guava Peel Off Mask about a year ago (here). A terrific pink mask for Wednesdays, lol!
7th Heaven calls this mask a “fruit salad for the face” because the key ingredients with vitamin C and other antioxidants are derived from fruit: guava, mangosteen, apple, and pear. In addition to deep cleaning and refining pores to fight acne, it helps improve and even out skin tone with regular use. In addition, it soothes and helps decrease redness.
Although Pink Guava Mask is also designed for oily or combination skin, it doesn’t dry out my skin with occasional use. So I have been using Pink Guava for about a year, on and off.
Rose Gold
New Rose Gold Peel-off Mask is actually like putting rose gold on my skin! I have been a fan of rose gold jewelry for decades, so it was really fun to put it on my face. 🙂
In addition to toning, purifying and shrinking the size of pores, the Rose Gold Peel Off Mask balances and nourishes skin. My skin feels like velvet after using it. I think it’s my favorite of the three for my dry skin type. Also importantly, it leaves my skin with a radiant glow. Definitely the mask to use before going out, when you want your skin to look its glowing best.
The mask contains Damask Rose water, white tea and moonstone. It is so new that the Rose Gold Peel-off Mask isn’t even on the 7th Heaven website quite yet!
7th Heaven Masks
All 7th Heaven masks contain 0.3 fl. oz. and are priced at an affordable $1.99 each. They are formulated with natural, vegan ingredients. They are cruelty-free, Leaping Bunny certified, and approved by PETA. They’re made in the UK, and their parent company Montaigne Jeunesse is UK based. The masks have a very light fragrance that I can smell for a few seconds when I apply them to my skin. Once it’s on, the scent disappears.
