I have plenty of skin issues, but my skin seldom breaks out. Even when I was young, it didn’t break out very often. Maybe I had a pimple about two years ago or so? And enlarged pores? No, I don’t really have those either.
So I was surprised when I received IBUKI Multi-Solution Gel from Shiseido a few weeks ago.
I love Shiseido. It’s a fabulous brand of luxury, effective Japanese skincare. I love my Shiseido Lash Curler that I use every day! But I wasn’t sure what I would do with the IBUKI Multi-Solution Gel.
Literally, two days after receiving Shiseido IBUKI Multi-Solution Gel during a period of several hot, humid early September days, my skin broke out! There it was, a nice big pimple on my face. Now was my chance to try out the Multi-Solution Gel!
The light green translucent gel comes in an attractive silver jar. I use a little paddle to scoop out a small amount. What’s so interesting about the gel in the jar is that the gel reformulates itself. When I opened the jar the next day, the gel was all smooth on top, like I had never removed any gel at all. It looked brand new, like this…
Also, the next day, my pimple was gone. Not getting less noticeable. Completely gone. And my skin wasn’t dried out at all like it used to be when I’d use Clearasil in an emergency years ago.
Last week, another pimple showed up. What’s with this? Well, another chance to use the Multi-Solution Gel. Again, next day, it was gone!

The Shiseido IBUKI Multi-Solution Gel can be used under makeup or as a final step over moisturizer or foundation everyday to take care of blemishes, enlarged pores or even rough skin. I rarely break out, and every single time, without fail, that PR reaches out and wants me to review something for breakouts I say that I will have to wait until I actually have a breakout to test the product. Sorry I can’t afford the shipping to Canada, Sharon. When I first started blogging, I included Canada, and I ended up being shocked at how much more expensive it was to ship to Canada that is not all that far away from me in the northeast US. This formula is very odd, Courtney, it’s actually rather solid, like Jello and it wouldn’t work in an airless pump. They would have to come up with a different formula. My alternative is using a clean scoop.

I still get an occasional breakout and it drives me crazy. I’ve tried all the well known treatments (like Mario Badescu drying treatment) – but I feel like they never work quickly enough. Would love to try something that takes less than 5-7 days to clear a blemish!

I have sensitive skin, too, Judy. Usually if I put say, Clearasil, or any other salicylic acid drugstore product on my random blemishes, I have dry, flaky, often red skin where I put the product, but with the Shiseido Multi-Solution Gel, no dryness at all. I almost never have breakouts but we had a hot humid September, and I got two blemishes. The Shiseido gel worked overnight, and each time, the blemish was completely gone. I thought it was a miracle!
This gel looks so unique. I have been rather curious about it after seeing it on multiple blogs.

I think it is very unique though I don’t have that many blemishes to be an expert. It’s an odd Jello-like formula, but it doesn’t dry my skin at all and it got rid of my blemishes overnight. Killer product!

Thank you, Marcia, for sharing this giveaway! I almost never get breakouts so I was shocked when I got two just after I received this product from Shiseido. Both times, it worked overnight! I was blown away. For the random breakout, it worked great!
I’d love to win the gel for my oldest son who is beginning to have problems with acne. The overnight relief that you experienced is amazing. Being able to have them gone that quickly or certainly greatly reduced would be so good for him. It’s hard being a teenager! And the kid in me loves gel products that spring back to their original shape! I’d love the lovely red bag for myself! Once in a great while, I do get a spot that pops up so I’d certainly use it. I currently use a Shiseido softening lotion that I love, so I’m familiar with the quality of products that the brand puts out.
I had really good luck with it, Kristi. But I had only one blemish at a time. Nevertheless, others have reported success over time with improving their skin. The Shiseido Gel is rather unusual. It’s like Jello! I use it as a spot treatment so I can’t say that it’s refreshing, but it sure does work for me!

Actually, Katherine, I think it would be perfect for your skin. I didn’t think I’d have much use for it, but for occasional breakouts and/or to combat enlarged pores, it’s perfect. Mercy, I’ve had a lot of stress recently from an old running injury that resurfaced. The pain, mixed with the resulting stress at work and at home, and (I think) the frustration of not being able to really *do* anything, has now made my face break out on top of everything. My face is dry, but breaking out! I’m attempting the most natural route possible to heal the injury, to eliminate more toxins in my system. At this point, a small miracle in a tiny tub to heal my face sounds amazing. Multi-solution gel ftw!

I would love to win b/c I’ve never tried this brand but have wanted to for years.

Oh how wonderful it would be to be able to say the last time I had a blemish was probably 2 years ago, unfortunately that is not my situation. I have had more breakouts lately (dr says hormones) than I did as a teenager. I also have enlarged pores. Therefore I would love love to try this product that lives up to its claims. Thanks so much.

This product just looks so unique!! I love the color and it just looks so luxurious! I love the fact that it doesn’t dry out your skin but solves the pimple problemo!
