I am a facial mask fanatic. I just love them. From time to time, I dabble in the single-use paper or fiber masks, but I really prefer the masks that I apply to my face straight out of the tube or jar. For one thing, if it’s a mask I love, I don’t want to have to go out and buy another one. Plus, I vastly prefer the feel of a cream or gel mask rather than wet paper on my face! 😆
A couple of weeks ago, I received StriVectin Instant Revitalizing Mask, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
The Instant Revitalizing Mask was developed to restore a more even skin tone and give an instant brightening to the skin. As you know, my quest is to fade my spots and regain a more even skin tone. The mask contains the patented complex, NIA-114, developed by StriVectin that is the cornerstone of so many of their products. NIA-114 is a form of niacin called nicotinic acid that strengthens the skin barrier, hydrates skin, and boosts the effectiveness of AHAs as they revitalize.
In consumer testing, after 4 weeks of regular use, the vast majority of participants in the study reported brighter skin tone, more even skin tone and revitalized looking skin. I haven’t been using the product for a month yet, but my skin looks fresher and brighter immediately after use. I am trying to gather as many “skin tone evening” products into my regimen as I can to work on fading my dark spots!
StriVectin Instant Revitalizing Mask is such a breeze to use. That’s one reason why I have no problem using it every other night after I take off my makeup at night. I just squeeze the tube, and apply a thin layer to my clean, dry face. The directions say to leave it on till it’s dry or for 15 minutes. Frankly, on me, it dries in less than 2 minutes so I leave it on for a while. I don’t have any amusing selfies of me wearing it because the cream that looks white coming out of the tube turns clear on my face in spite of the white clay in the formula. So it doesn’t look like I’m wearing a mask at all. Next, I rinse it off with lukewarm water and I’m good to go on with my skincare regimen.
The mask isn’t at all drying. It doesn’t feel like I have anything on my sensitive skin. No tingling, no nothing. Using it every other day is perfect. If you use it in the morning before work or in the evening before you’re going out, it can definitely liven up the look of your skin.
StriVectin Instant Revitalizing Mask contains 3 oz., and it is priced at $62. There’s a lot in the tube, covering my face requires just a little bit, so it’ll last a long time. Hi Laura! It doesn’t bother my sensitive skin at all! But just in case someone has an issue with certain ingredients, I think I posted the ingredient list. This mask goes on as a lightweight cream but look transparent and it does dry, but isn’t drying. No sensation at all while it’s on, and glowing skin afterwards. If your name gets picked, hopefully it will be fine for your ultra-sensitive skin. 🙂

Yes, this isn’t a deep cleaning mask, but it sure does give a nice glow. And I’m hoping that longer term, it’ll work along with all the other ‘even skin tone’ products I’m using to fade my darn spots!
I’m always looking for products that claim to brighten the skin, especially with the colder months coming up, my skin will be looking dull and lifeless.

I’ve been using their neck cream for a long time now and love how it absorbs fast and leaves my skin so soft. I recently purchased their new and improved version and normally I think those versions are any different but my second chin is starting to recede and the line is almost gone. I just recently ventured into the world of masks. My hesitation has always been over fear of having a thick, colored paste on my face for a half hour – just a little frightening for the family, lol. So glad this no longer has to be the case!

It really does boost the radiance! I’m hoping the StriVectin NIA-114 actually kicks in and starts to boost my collagen and even out my skin tone, but I know a 2-3x/wk mask may not be able to achieve that on its own but the extra niacin can’t hurt!
I agree, this mask is great so far! I haven’t been using it that long, but I hope it fades some of my dark spots because they have been popping up more frequently lately. :/

I agree, Kristina, I also hope that it does help fade my dark spots. In two weeks, I don’t see any longer term change but I like the radiance it gives me after each use.
I have only used this once but loved it… and I am afraid to use more than 2x a week because my skin is so sensitive, but after the first use, I really loved how bright my skin appeared the next day – it’s definitely a favorite of mine now.

I just got a serious sunburn for the first time in my life on vacation and it’s made me take my skincare much more seriously (that and I turned 42 and my skin suddenly looked it!). I’d love to try a mask that works on my uneven skin tone. Especially before I shell out $$!

I love a good mask. Typically I go for the clay/mud masks, as I have oily skin that is pretty acne prone, but I enjoy trying new, brightening ones, too!
