Good Jane’s Kiss My Lash Hands-Free Mirror & Stand and False Lashes

What’s the most difficult beauty task for you? For me, I don’t even have to think for 30 seconds. It’s applying false lashes.

I don’t have the greatest eyesight, and I have downturned small-ish eyes, both of which make putting on false lashes even harder. I’ve tried large tweezer-like applicators that are supposed to make it easier, but I didn’t find it easier at all. As a result, I don’t wear false lashes very often. It was too much of a struggle.

I received a fabulous and very useful large navy blue tote bag from Good Janes, the makers of Kiss My Lash.

Inside were two big Kiss My Lash boxes.

In the boxes were an adjustable white plastic stand that houses a separate three-way mirror.

Putting the Kiss My Lash mirror and adjustable stand together was a breeze. I didn’t even bother with the instructions. The bendable neck fits easily into the stand on one end and to the mirror housing on the other. Then the triple mirror just snaps right in to the housing. Easy.

I like to stand up when I put on false lashes, so I put the mirror stand on the island in my kitchen. That’s the perfect height for me. Then I looked straight into the middle mirror, and I could see my eyes and lashes from all angles.

The mirror is ah-maz-ing! Each of the three mirrors is perfectly placed to give the best view of your lashes. For me, the most helpful view was the lower mirror that showed me my eyelids and their lash lines, so I could see where to place each lash. Honestly, the Kiss My Lash mirror changed the game for me. Now I have no excuse not to wear false lashes!

You can buy the triple Kiss My Lash Mirror separately for $19.99, or buy the Mirror and Kiss My Lash Stand bundled together (Kiss My Lash Bundle) for $29.99. Personally, I recommend getting the mirror with the stand so you can look straight ahead into the mirror.

This is the most awesome gift ever for a makeup and lash lover. I think it is a beauty tool necessity for any person who has trouble applying false lashes like I did.  I’m serious, if you have trouble applying false lashes, you need this mirror!

Good Jane also makes false lashes: silk and mink lashes. They kindly sent me two pairs of their mink lashes. They come in the most lovely small round black boxes/presentation cases tied with aqua ribbons. Inside the box is a pair of lashes on a beautiful silver sparkly background.

I received Hot Mama and About Lash Night, mink lashes.

What I was happy to learn was that the lashes are made from 100% mink fur that is collected from natural shedding. No minks are killed or plucked to get their hair. Phew.

The lashes are super soft. And if cared for properly, they can last up to 25 wearings!

Here I am wearing the more dramatic pair, Hot Mama, priced at $35.95.

I first trimmed each lash to fit my eyes better. I loosened up each lash by flexing it along the strip to make it easier to apply. I used Esqido Lash Glue that I own and love, let it set for about 30 seconds, looked into my Kiss My Lash mirror and pressed them on. I used my fingers rather than tweezers because that is easier for me.

Here’s a video from Good Janes that shows you how to apply false lashes:

The Hot Mama lashes are more dramatic and much longer than lashes that I usually wear, but they sure are pretty! They feel like awnings on my eyes, lol. But if I were going to an evening event, I would wear these!

About Lash Night is a less dense, more versatile set of lashes. Price $29.95.

I am really hoping that some more holiday parties will come my way ‘coz I am dying to wear my new lashes now that I can apply them without going crazy. Thank you, Good Janes!

  1. Great review! I don’t wear false lashes (was blessed with natural long dark lashes) but I can certainly see where this would help tremendously.

    1. How lucky you are to have long dark lashes!

  2. Sandy Pincombe says:

Allison, you look great in these lashes! I can’t wear them due to an eye issue but sure wish I could.

    1. Thank you so much, Sandy! I really love this mirror, and though I don’t have a lot of occasions for false lashes, at least now, I’ll be able to get them on without a struggle. I had another eye doctor appointment this afternoon, and she told me that I had makeup occluding my tear ducts. I’m not sure if it was actually makeup or the castor oil I’ve been applying to my lash line every night to help my lashes grown 🙁 It could also be the eyeliner I put on my waterline.Guess I need to make some changes, boo hoo.

  3. I want that mirror! I don’t wear false lashes, but this mirror looks amazing for applying eye makeup! WOWZA, do you ever look gorgeous and glam with those lashes, Allison!

    1. You’re right, Helen:the 3 way mirror is handing for applying any eye makeup, not just false lashes!

  4. Ooooh those have the va-va-voom factor! And that’s definitely an intriguing mirror setup. I would love to wear false lashes but glue around my eyes just never sounds like such a hot idea. I’d probably make a mess even with the mirror. 😛 Maybe I’ll try a pair of magnetic lashes for fun instead.

    1. I haven’t tried magnetic lashes yet. Maybe now that I have this mirror, I will! Honestly, this 3way mirror is a game changer for me. I haven’t worn falsies since Vday, and they started coming off during dinner coz I did such a lousy job of applying them. This makes it so much easier!

  5. This is the most amazing beauty accessory I’ve ever seen! I need this ASAP! I feel like this would help me so much!

    1. Christine, I was blown away by how much it helped me apply the false lashes. It made it so much easier. It also can be used as a magnifying mirror to apply eye makeup. For $30, it is soooooooo worth it!

  6. Bailey says:

Wow. A very specific mirror, indeed, but seems very useful for your need.

    1. It’s also useful for applying regular eye makeup because it’s magnified and you can see your lids and lash lines so well.

  7. Totally impressed. I’ve never been able to apply false lashes – ever. If I could with this it would be a miracle. Wish list!

    1. I am so darn impressed by this 3way mirror and stand. I haven’t worn false lashes since February, and I remember that the lashes I wore to dinner on Valentine’s night started coming off during out dinner at a nice restaurant. I am sold on this device. It is so worth the $30. Plus it can be used for applying any eye makeup.

  8. Those lashes look great on you, Allison! I need to practice more!
