Goodies from Barielle Nail Care

Barielle is a brand that I’ve been using for ages to help strengthen my nails. I was a big fan of their pink heavy nail strengthener that came in a pot. I think their tagline used to talk about their products being crafted from ingredients used to strengthen race horses’ hooves. That always impressed me.

Well, things of changed over the years at Barielle. They now make so many nail strengthening products I can’t believe it. And nail polish in gorgeous, modern shades.

I received a wonderful representation of their products:

First, I love the fact that Barielle now has an option in a tube. So much easier and cleaner for me to use than the pot. I’ve been using the Nail Strengthener Cream at night and it’s been doing a wonderful job hydrating my nails and cuticles even though it says that full results will be seen in 3-4 weeks. What I also love about it is that it can be used over nail polish. The Strengthener Cream helps nail resist peeling, split or breaks. The 0.50 oz tube is priced at $10.

I also love love love the Protect Plus Color Nail Strengthener in Sheer Pink. It provides just the right amount of color as it strengthens my nails. It can be worn alone as I’m wearing it below. Or it can be worn over a base coat as a polish. It comes in two other shades in addition to the Sheer Pink that I’m wearing: Dark Pink and Beige/Nude. The Sheer Pink is very pale giving the nail the slightest bit of rosiness. Price $16.00. Here’s how Barielle describes it:

“Formulated with the unique ingredient Prosina™, a Keratin Peptide, which helps nails become stronger and more break resistant. This high viscosity formula will help provide a reinforced shield for maximum protection and durability, while giving your nails a beautiful splash of color.”

So far, I’ve worn Blossom from the Barielle Nail Shades collection. I think it’s one of the new shades for this season. In fact, you may recognize it as the nail color I was wearing for my St. Patrick’s Day look. I adore peach cream, so I could hardly wait to put this pretty shade on my nails. It wore for about 4 days with no chipping, and I wasn’t very good about putting on gloves when I washed the dishes. Not bad at all. The nail polish is salon strength with a long lasting finish. Priced at $8.

Here are the other two shades, Under the Sea and Sheer Nonsese that I haven’t tried yet. So pretty!

I haven’t tried the Nourishing Nail Mask yet so I’ll report back to you on that one. It looks like the perfect thing to try during an at home spa night. Just clean and dry the nails, put a mask on each finger, and wear them for 30-60 minutes. Enough time to watch a TV show and relax! Then remove and massage in the excess product. Done. Sounds easy and relaxing. Priced at $2.98.

Barielle nail products are 5 free and pregnancy safe.  Barielle is against animal testing.

  1. I’ve tried the Barielle nail cream in the tub and it works well ( if I use it consistently ). I think the tub is a pain so it’s nice to see that it comes in a tube.

    1. Very good point, Monica! The tube is so much easier and cleaner. I used to use the heavy pink, gritty stuff (it wasn’t really a cream) in the pot, and this is soooo much better!

  2. I have been looking for a nail treatment for myself, just noticed my nails are not in tip top conditions because I wear nail polish all the time. The nail mask sounds lovely and so is the nail cream. Great review, Allison!

I’m not very familiar with Barielle, but those nails colors are gorgeous.

    1. I had only tried their original nail treatment product, and I had no idea how much I was missing out on, Rachel. The nail cream in the tube is terrific, and I really love the Protection Plus Color nail strengthener too. I’m so in love with the peach, Blossom, nail polish that I haven’t gotten around to trying Under The Sea or Sheer Nonsense, but I know I will soon. Take a look at their website. It’s worth it!

  8. OK, now I totally want to run to my nearest mall and pick up some Barielle, a brand I completely forgot about! And those polish shades you chose are so gorgeous for Spring… Cheers!

    1. Barielle is a great nail care brand, Megan. In the U.S., it is available at CVS, Walgreens and, I think, Walmart, various products from the brand show up at Marshalls/TJs, but the best representation is on their website.

  16. All of the colors look amazing. I’m curious to know more about the Nail Masks, they are so fascinating to me. Great review Allison. xo

    1. I’ve seen Barielle at CVS and I think it’s also at Walgreen’s and maybe Walmart, but at CVS at least, the number of different products is low compared to the vast product line they have on the Barielle website. So it may have been easy for you to miss 😉

  19. I don’t think I’ve used anything from Barielle, but the polish looks amazing! I’ve used nail masks similar to those from a different brand and love them. Hopefully those are as good!

    1. Barielle has been in existence for a very long time. They started with nail treatment products, and that’s still what they’re best known for.
