Jeff is a big-time catalogue and online shopper. And over the years, he has given me very beautiful and memorable gifts for Valentine’s Day, my birthday and Haunkah.
One of the catalogues I often find on his desk or dining room table is Uno Alla Volta, an online retailer that specializes in artisan crafted jewelry, fashion, accessories, and gift items. In fact, I think it’s the one that he turns to most often for distinctive gifts for me and for his daughters. My cute Murano glass “hearts on parade”
as well as my lovely pink silk hand-painted heart-adorned scarf were gifts from Jeff that he bought from Uno Alla Volta a couple of years ago. In addition to wearing it, I often use the pink heart scarf as a prop in my photos for the blog because it’s so darn pretty.
Because the catalogue changes all the time, I don’t expect those particular items to be available now, but I wanted to show them to you to give you an idea of the variety and beauty of the offerings based on my personal experience!
This year, I was surprised when I received a new gift from Uno Alla Volta. But it wasn’t from Jeff! It was from the company itself. And they enclosed two catalogues for Valentine’s Day. The catalogues are so eye-catching and enticing that they’re almost keepsakes on their own.
Uno Alla Volta (which means “one at a time” in Italian) sent me a pair of exquisitely handcrafted heart-shaped earrings. As you probably know, I’m both a heart and a jewelry fanatic, so I couldn’t be more appreciative of their gift.
The earrings are called Joli’s Drusy Heart Earrings, and Joli is an artisan from Philadelphia. I had to look up the word “drusy” or “druse”, and it means a coating of fine crystals that form on top of a vein within a rock, or on a rock fragment or geode. Druse has a sparkling or glittering effect, and you know I love glitter. The druse in my earrings is lavender,
but Uno Alla Volta has gorgeous fuchsia Drusy Heart Earrings in stock that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. The earrings are surrounded by rich 24K gold electroplate. The quality of the work is impeccable.
They measure 1.25″ on wire findings. For me, they’re the perfect length. Also, they are very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
There are also Drusy Moon Earrings as well as a beautiful Drusy Heart Necklace that are available in Joli’s collection.
Along with the earrings, I received a Certificate of Authenticity in a black envelope. The earrings were very well packaged, and they made a wonderful impression.

The minute I saw the earrings and then the scarf I knew I would easily get lost in their website.I adore artisan jewelry and they did not disappoint.I especially love the cuff and bangle bracelets and could easily see myself wearing them.More items on my ever growing wish list,lol. I will go online and see if I can figure out which cuff and bangles caught your eye on Uno Alla Volta! They have so many pieces it’s just amazing 🙂 I am lucky that Jeff has good taste and he pretty much knows my style. I was so tickled when the company contacted me, and when they sent the catalogue, it was such a happy coincidence that Jeff had been shopping there for me for years. On items that can be a little pricey, I’m always happy when I can endorse them wholeheartedly from personal experience. The catalogue is certainly a keepsake! Few companies send out printed catalogues these days – a sad loss. I love purple stones, and this is a very pretty pair of earrings.
