Grow Fuller Brows with New City Beauty Brow Boost Redensifying Serum

Throughout most of my life, I hadn’t paid too much attention to my brows. For much of my adult years and teen years, too, I had bangs, so you couldn’t always see much of my brows. Also, my hair colorist dyes my brows red, though they fade over time like my hair, but the color makes my brows appear fuller just after they’ve been colored even if they aren’t.

Nevertheless, about a year and a half ago, I discovered brow serum, and I start working on beefing up my brows to go with the trend toward full brows. It definitely made a difference. Once my brows looked fuller to me, I went into maintenance mode, using a serum about once a week and sometimes less.

About a month ago, City Beauty sent me a tube of their brand new City Beauty Brow Boost Redensifying Serum to try out. Although I wasn’t starting at ground zero, I figured why not give it a try.

City Beauty just launched their new Brow Boost on Monday. Because Monday was Yom Kippur, I missed the launch date and yesterday too. So there is only today left with Brow Boost on sale at a promotional price. It is definitely worth taking a look.

Like other brow serums and gels, City Beauty Brow Boost comes in a tube with a small spoolie applicator.

The formula is wetter (but not too wet) than the brow serum I had been using previously. I can tell that I am actually applying this versus the one I had been using before that seemed almost invisible. Plus City Beauty Brow Boost does double duty as a brow gel as well as a serum. It does a great job helping my brows stay in place.

Here’s how City Beauty describes Brow Boost:

Brow Boost is designed to help “fill in” the look of thinning brows for a youthful, face-framing appearance. Natural extracts work alongside 10 science-backed peptides to promote a thicker, stronger, more defined look.

The key ingredients in Brow Boost are nourishing hydrolyzed keratin, a blend of extracts from European Larchwood & green tea for a more “filled-in” appearance, Myristoyl Pentapeptide for a thicker fuller look. Both the keratin and the pentapeptide work at the root of the hairs.

So what was my experience with Brow Boost? First, my sensitive eyes had no issue using Brow Boost. No fumes that could have made my eyes burn. And that is rather amazing since so many brow serums and lash serums really sting my eyes.

Second, my brows have started filling in more, even though I have been using City Beauty Brow Boost for a little less than a month and I have been using Brow Boost only at night rather than the twice a day that City Beauty recommends.

What have I been working on with Brow Boost? There were spots toward my nose on both of my brows that needed to be filled in, as well as the outer brow on my left side that needed filling. (Look at my brows below in spite of the fact that my eyes are closed, lol.)

“before”

Both spots are doing better. You can see that the parts of my brows closest to my nose are markedly thicker/fuller than they were a month earlier in the above photo.

“after”

They say it takes 4 months to see the full effects. I will keep going to see if I can finish balancing my two brows, but I definitely think they look better and certainly thicker already. As I have mentioned before, since my eye surgery, I can’t see close up so I am having trouble tweezing my brows, so that’s why they don’t look so neat, plus these photos were taken to show the mascara I was wearing.

Third, the long white, coarse brow hairs that I used to have to pluck seem to have disappeared! That’s a good thing. They really bugged me. Now, my brow hairs feel softer and are easier to groom.

What makes City Beauty Brow Boost different? Here’s what City Beauty says:

Many brow serums contain prostaglandins — hormone manipulators known for their unsightly, and often permanent, side effects. We’re proud that Brow Boost is 100% prostaglandin-free. Our formula uses targeted peptides that work WITH your body’s natural chemistry, instead of against it. And unlike other serums — which typically contain 1-3 peptides — Brow Boost contains a total of 10 scientifically backed peptides. That’s why Brow Boost is able to help brows look dramatically fuller, longer, and more defined.

The sale price for City Beauty Brow Boost Redensifying Serum is $49 for one tube that contains 0.17 FL OZ / 4.98 ML, even less if you buy more than one or sign up for a subscription. The regular price is $98. Check out the City Beauty website for more info.
