Happy Hanukah 8 Nights of Mani Magic with Olive & June!

I Bought This, Affiliate Links

There’s no secret, I adore Olive & June polishes and nail care products. So this year, when I noticed that Olive & June was selling both Christmas Advent calendars ($65 original price) and Hanukah nightly calendars ($55 original price), I thought maybe I should pick up a Hanukah calendar. It would be fun to have a nightly gift for me to open when Jeff wasn’t around.

This was one of the rare occasions where waiting a bit paid off. Olive & June had one of their semi-rare sales and I got 20% off, I think.

What I’ve Gotten So Far

As I write this, I am half way through the 8 days of Hanukah. I have opened 4 doors, one each night after I light the candles.

Night #1: I was very happy to see 4 mini bottles of polish:

  • OMG: navy blue
  • Exclamation Point: silver/holographic sparkles
  • BP: pastel blue
  • Glossy Top Coat

Here’s BP alone:

Here’s BP with Exclamation Point on top:

Night #2: 3 mini “Care and Essentials” products

  • Dry Drops: These oil drops really do work, making my mani dry even faster than it does without it. I am almost out of my full size, so I’m happy to have this.
  • Cuticle Serum: I need to remember to use the easy-to-apply cuticle serum more often than I do My cuticles really need it. It has a soft tip that gets saturated with the lotiony serum, and I just dab it on my cuticles. I don’t need this mini just yet, but I know I will.
  • Hand Serum: I had never tried this before, and now I’m hooked. It’s exceedingly lightweight and absorbs immediately, but it is still very hydrating. I love it, and I’m glad I got to discover it via this travel size. I know I’ll be buying the full size.

Night #3:

  • Mini Poppy just the right size for mini bottles. Poppy is a rubber tool that goes over the top of the bottle cap to make applying polish, especially on the dominant hand, easier. When I first started using the O&J system, I used it, but I wasn’t sure if it made that much of a difference. Maybe I’ll try it when I polish my dominant hand and see if it helps.
  • Mini packet of nail stickers on Hanukah themes: I have another packet of nail stickers, but I haven’t tried using them yet. As a lefty, I might be able to place them on my right hand, but I have my doubts that I could apply them properly onto my left hand nails.

Night #4: nail tools

  • Mini Emery Board: Today I split my damaged nail trying to open something. I knew that was a mistake. The mini emery board as well as the mini buffer were just the right sizes to file down and smooth out that nail.
  • Mini Nail Buffer

So, I have 4 more nights to go. I could look at the website to see what the remaining items are, but I want to be surprised!

It appears that the Hanukah calendar is sold out now, but the Christmas calendar is still available!

    1. Happy Hanukah to you and your family, too! I am certainly having fun with this Hanukah calendar!

  2. I’ve never seen an advent box for Hanukah. What a fabulous idea. I’m guessing many of the same items would be in the Christmas box so it’s only creating the box. I’m so impressed and I’d love what you’ve gotten so far.

    1. I had never seen an “advent” calendar for Hanukah either, so that’s why I wanted to support them for doing it! The colors of the nail polish were different, of course, in the Christmas Advent Calendar, and that calendar had more days in it (how long is Advent, anyway?) and more stuff, thus the higher price.
