For many of us, the July 4th Weekend starts early…like on Thursday or even earlier. So this will be a short post.
Update on Jeff and My Posts Next Week
Jeff was released from the hospital last Friday after vascular bypass surgery the previous Monday. Once home, he seemed to be making progress walking, though he hasn’t wanted to overdo it.
His two incisions are substantial, and the one on his calf continues to leak. The one on his thigh looked good, but he now has a lump at that incision that wasn’t there a few days ago that we and the visiting nurse are concerned about. I’m writing this on Wednesday night, and we are hoping that he will be able to get in touch with the surgeon before the doctor disappears for the long weekend. I hope that Jeff will be able to be seen by his surgeon rather than having to go to the emergency room where he would end up with a doctor who is unfamiliar with his case. I really hope that Jeff doesn’t have to go back into the hospital.
That said, I’m not sure what’s up for next week for Jeff or for me. I may or may not be back to posting regularly yet. Marcia has been wonderful posting extras posts, but I know she has plans and other obligations, too.
