Healthier, Longer Lashes and No Stinging with RapidLash Eyelash Serum

Over the years, my lashes have suffered a bit. They are not short, but they’re not naturally long either. Jeff is the one with the good eyelashes, longish and black.

In order to make my lashes longer and more plentiful, I use lash serum from time to time. But I have very, very sensitive eyes with all kinds of eye problems. I had found a natural lash serum that I liked, but all of a sudden, I couldn’t even use that lash serum because it started to sting my eyes. So I stopped using it, and I switched back to castor oil that doesn’t bother my eyes. I always thought that castor oil helped grow longer lashes. Turns out, according to The Cut and the dermatologists they interviewed, that I was wrong. Castor oil can condition lashes and stop them from breaking, and the glossiness of the oil may make them look thicker, but castor oil doesn’t enhance growth. Boo!

There was a lash serum that a friend was using that noticeably made her lashes grow significantly longer, and I was eager to try it. However, when I looked at the reviews, a lot of users complained about eye irritation/stinging eyes. I didn’t want to waste my money because I knew in advance that I would have a problem with it because just about everything bothers my sensitive eyes.

Fortunately, I was given an opportunity to try RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum. I figured I had nothing to lose. If it made my eyes sting, I would just stop using it. I was so relieved to discover that I had no stinging and no discomfort whatsoever using RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum.

I have very light colored lashes. In fact, they are almost clear. This is before I started using RapidLash.

Did it make my lashes grow longer? I think so. Sorry these photos are so awful and creepy too. Where I notice the most growth is on my middle lashes where they are now very long as well as my lower lashes. I have been using RapidLash for a little more than a month, and I started to see longer lashes after a couple of weeks.

I will continue using RapidLash. I am hoping that my lashes toward the inner corner will get a bit more plentiful. Also, the middle lashes on my right eye are different lengths. I am hoping the lashes that are a little shorter will catch up! And I hope my outer lashes will grow longer. I’m a work in progress!

What I also like about RapidLash is that it conditions and softens my lashes. They feel soft to the touch, and I don’t have any breakage at all. In fact, when I read about RapidLash on the Ulta Beauty website, RapidLash emphasizes healthiness, nutrition, strengthening, and appearance. It doesn’t actually mention anything about lengthening, per se. The description of the product focuses on the building blocks of healthy lashes. Nevertheless, my lashes definitely look longer to me. I’m hoping that over time, my lashes will thicken or grow more plentiful.

The formula contains a proprietary cocktail of ingredients that the manufacturer calls Hexatein-1. Here are the key ingredients  in the complex and what they do, according to the website:

  • “Polypeptides, comprised of beneficial amino acids, help protect against breakage and support more youthful appearance of lashes and brows
  • Biotin (Pro-vitamin B7 / Vitamin H / Coenzyme R), an essential factor in maintaining healthier-looking, youthful lashes and brows
  • Panthenol (Vitamin B5) helps coat the lashes and brows and seal in moisture and nourishment for improved overall appearance
  • Amino Acids help replenish the building blocks of lash and brow hair by boosting the protein structure and resulting in healthier-looking appearance of lashes and brows
  • Soybean Oil, rich in vitamins, helps impart sheen and luster to lashes and brows making them appear lush and beautiful
  • Pumpkin Seed Extract, high in zinc, EFAs, amino acids, vitamins and phytosterols, helps enhance the appearance of lashes and brows”

RapidLash is cruelty-free, is fragrance-free, and paraben-free.

I apply RapidLash at night along my lash lines. The wand reminds me of the Urban Decay liner brush with precision brush hairs that are easy to use. The clear serum dries quickly, and again does not bother my sensitive eyes. It is ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested. Also safe for contact lens wearers like me.

I am very satisfied with my lashes after using RapidLash, and I am thrilled that I can use this serum without burning. Yay!

A tube of RapidLash contains 0.1 oz. The price seems to vary, from $49.99 on the RapidLash website to $34.99 on Ulta.com. Looking around the internet, it seems that there is or was RapidLash Eyelash & Eyebrow Enhancing Serum, and that is available at Target for $27.99. I am also currently trying out RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum that may be a new product. So they may be phasing out the older dual use product? Meanwhile, RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum is on sale at both Ulta and Target for $27.99 and for $30 with a free gift on the RapidLash website for this month only. I’ll be back to talk to you more about RapidBrow in a couple of weeks.

  5. I can’t wait to hear more about the Brow one. Mine are pitiful. I’ve used RapidLash in the past and liked it a lot. I once bought a two pack at Costco but those are long gone. I’m glad to see the prices have gone down on these. It’s making a great difference on your lashes.

    1. Because my lashes are almost clear, it is impossible to see them well without mascara. I am using a new drugstore mascara, and between the two things, my lashes seem really long! I wanted to try the lash serum that Cindy uses, but I know my super-sensitive eyes wouldn’t be able to handle it. I’m so happy that my eyes get along well with RapidLash and RapidBrow. Sneak peak: I like RapidBrow too. They say to use it for two months so I’ll be back in a couple of weeks!

  6. I used this and it worked great, then I bought another tube and it didn’t work at all! I had better luck with Babe Lash. One of the girls at work just started doing lash extensions so I may try them.

    1. I’m still on my first tube and it is definitely working. I really wanted to try Babe Lash because you had such amazing results, but I know in advance after reading the reviews on Amazon for Babe that my super-sensitive eyes would have trouble with it. I’m glad I can use RapidLash, and I hope it keeps working. Sadly, my eyes couldn’t handle extensions either.

  7. Kathryne Williams says:

Guys have the nicest lashes and it’s not fair, lol! My hubs have longer lashes too! When I nearly lost all my lashes 2 years ago from lash extensions, I used a similar serum and it took all of 3 months to grow my lashes back. Initially, they were so long, now I’m back to same length as yours.

    1. As much as I would love to try lash extensions, I’m afraid I would end up losing my natural lashes like you did. What serum did you use to regrow your lashes? 3 months sounds quite quick to me!

  8. Oh wow! I’m very impressed with your results! I need to see if I can find this here!

  9. 25 Sweetpeas says:

    Looks pretty impressive!

  11. Looks like you really did get some awesome results! I have lashes but not a lot, I wonder if this would help the more fragile ones stand out.
