Today, my friend Kim and I went to the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester for lunch. B.C. (before COVID-19), this wouldn’t have been a big deal. We would often stop by for a drink. But I hadn’t been to Beauport since February (the indoor bar is still closed), so this was an OCCASION! I decided to wear some new clothes (instead of my usual jeans or jeans shorts), my favorite Alexis Bitter earrings and MAKEUP!
My makeup wasn’t fancy, but it was so great to wear it. I felt more visible and certainly more colorful.
- foundation: Smith & Cult Liquid Foundation over Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas Featherweight Primer
- blush: Milk Makeup Lip & Cheek, shade WERK
- eyeliner: Estee Lauder Double Wear pencil eyeliner Graphite lower lash line and Araceli Ojos Perfectos Liquid Eyeliner shade Brown on upper lash line
- eye primer: Urban Decay Anti-aging Primer Potion
- eyeshadow: Il Makiage, shade Shopaholic: pinky peach champagne that comes in a ultra-luxe metal compact
- eyeshadow: Viseart Paris Edit Mini Palette (reviewed and swatched here)
- mascara: Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara
- lipstick: BECCA Ultimate Lipstick Love, shade Blaze (reviewed and swatched here)
The hotel has a big deck/porch that’s perfect for social distancing. The deck faces the ocean, and the view is gorgeous and ever changing. What started out as a rainy morning fortunately turned into a sunny and almost hot afternoon, perfect for an afternoon looking at the sea.
We both had different peach cocktails followed by blue cheese prime burgers with caramelized onions and foraged mushrooms. Delish.
We had such a lovely, peaceful time that I made another reservation for the weekend after next.

I agree, it’s nice to be out and about! That eye shadow is beautiful and you look great!
Thank you so much, Valerie! The Il Makiage eyeshadow came in my latest Ipsy Plus bag that I think I will write about tonight, and the packaging alone blew me away. But the shade is also so pretty. It would work as a highlighter as well as a shadow. I hope you are staying well and getting out when you can. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment xo
