Il Makiage Lip Service Hi-Shine Lip Glaze

In my last Ipsy bag, I got a tube of Il Makiage Lip Service Hi-Shine Kuo Glaze in shade PDA. I don’t remember if I chose this or if Ipsy/Boxycharm chose it for me, but regardless, it was a good pick.

The Il Makiage lipgloss comes in a very thick, sturdy and rather heavy plastic rectangular tube. It feels like heavy glass, but I think it must be plastic. It’s quick an elegant looking gloss tube.

The applicator has a sponge flat head that makes it very easy to apply. The gloss itself is cushiony and smooth, but it’s lightweight. Plus, it isn’t sticky, and there’s no flavor or scent.

PDA is peachy-rose shade. On me, it looks more peach than rose.

Although it is a mostly opaque or translucent gloss, I most often wear it over my favorite hydrating lipstick from Wayne Goss Luxury Cream Lipstick in shade Lily. Though the Goss Cream Lipstick is a creamy satin, the Il Makiage Lip Glaze gives it a lovely shine.

The Il Makiage Lip Glaze doesn’t last on my lips forever, but it’s easy to reapply when necessary. Plus the oils in the formula keep my lips feeling juicy and hydrated.

Il Makiage Lip Service Hi-Shine Lip Glaze comes in 10 shades from clear to neutrals to deeps. There is at least one glitter shade, Bow Down, a red-purple shade. The Lip Glazes are priced at $27, and they’re sold on the Il Makiage website. If you’re an Ipsy member, it’s sold on Ipsy in shades PDA and Power Play for $14 each, 48% off. It kind of bugs me that lots of women sell the products that they get from Ipsy on eBay and Poshmark at discounted prices. I don’t know why it bothers me, but it does.

At any rate, this lipgloss was a wonderful surprise for me!
