Ilia Multi-Stick palette – since it’s limited edition should you rush out for it?

I’m a big big fan of cream blush. I have a nice selection of powder blush but 90% of the time I’ll reach for a cream blush. Cream blush is great for older skin since it adds a level of moisture and blends easily. I like a very lightweight foundation and sometimes a powder blush sticks to it unevenly. Creams are my go to. But creams don’t last as long so often people shy away from them.

When I saw that Ilia came out with the Multi-stick palette I knew I had to buy it. Since it’s sold at Sephora I picked it up during their last sale. I didn’t know at the time that it was Limited Edition but I rarely finish anything before moving on so it makes no difference to me. The full name of this is Multi-stick Cream Blush, Highlighter + Lip Tint. Obviously it’s a multi use palette,

There are 6 shades in the palette. Some are new while others are available individually in stick form.

When I first opened this I was surprised at how dark it looked but it’s actually quite sheer so my first impression was incorrect.

What it is: A recyclable palette with three new and three bestselling Multi-Stick shades for cheeks and lips.

How it works: This creamy, multi-use formula melts on contact for skin that looks and feels alive. Use the six shades as blush, lip color, bronzer, and highlighter to create a customized look. The mono-material palette is easily recyclable through your normal curbside service—just remove the insert and drop it in your recycling bin.

Cosmic Dancer: Soft champagne pearl
In the Mood (New): Golden peach pearl
Tenderly: Soft pink
At Last: Mauve rose
Whisper (New): Peach pink
In the City (New): Bronze pearl

Ilia Multi Blush palette top row  = Cosmic Dancer and In the Mood

These two are very sheer, Cosmic Dancer is a subtle highlighter (better for us middle-agers) and In The Mood is a beautiful but sheer peachy pearl. I love this shade on my lips. I should have mentioned that there’s no taste or fragrance with this palette.

The middle row with Tenderly and At Last is my favorite. These two shades aren’t too sheer so they show up nicely. The soft pink of Tenderly gives me the perfect pink I’m always looking for while At Last gives more color and depth.

Whisper and In The City are great colors to round out the palette. I love the peachy-pink of Whisper for both lips and cheeks. Since I tend to wear eyeshadow in the brown family Whisper is a great cheek companion. In The City is such a pretty golden bronze. How perfect this will be in summer. I haven’t tried it on my eyes but I plan on it and hope it works.

Even though this $42 palette is limited edition I doubt it will be gone quickly. Unlike the fad brands like ColourPop ILIA isn’t in it for a quick buck. They are a reliable company who want the best for your skin and the earth.

  1. This is such a beautiful palette, Marcia! I remember seeing it on the Sephora website, but I didn’t shop the last event. I now wish that I had picked this up!

  2. Oh, I was surprised when it registered in my brain that this is a palette with multiple pans, not individual sticks, lol! I love cream blushes too. They are what I use most often. I would have enjoyed this palette because all the gorgeous shades are at your fingertips rather than having to search for different cream compacts. Very, very nice.
